OK,

What about 245-40's on the front and 255-45's on the rear? This will lower the front and rear about .8 inches and with the stock gearing behave like 3.73's. I can mount these on stock wheels.

The OD's are

Front stock - 27.25 Front new - 25.7

Rear stock - 28.6 Rear new - 27

This should improve handling with the lower profile sidewall, a little extra rubber on the road, and a lower car, while not affecting the suspension travel or geometry (a real issue if you lower a car by changing springs, **** starts binding and steering geometry changes). Acceleration should increase and there would be about 145 more RPM at 85. Ride might suffer a little also. :)

It's a 300a so there is no traction control and I am not sure if it will affect the ABS. The only other drawback I can see is that the wheel wells may be a little empty. :(

Falken makes tires these sizes.

Thoughts on this?

NBC Shooter did this, already... Maybe he'll pop in here... In the meantime, here's what he found:

Here's a picture of a stock height Marauder, with the tire combo:

Way too much wheel gap, for my liking... After he lowered it, the car looked much better:

Whick kit is used? The Sportline and Pro-Kit are a bit different and the look is spot-on perfect on yours. I just bought my 2004 last week and the tires are pretty new but are 255/55's all the way around. It looks like :censor: so I am going 255/45 all around (yes I know- traction control) and an Eibach kit. The tires are here but NOT mounted yet. I wanna do it all at once so I need to know what kit to order. Thanks in advance.

the drop makes the car look alot better, but IMO the smaller diameter tires make the 18's look ....different. possibly too small for the size of the car.widened rims and fatter tires make the car look alot meaner, esp in the rear.

Do you have any pics of your car with the 255/55's? That's what I'm planning on putting on my car next time around.

Is there an Eibach kit that will fit the 98-02 P-71? It looks perfect on the MM pic above.
