As a new owner of a 2004 MM with less then 14K miles I've got a question.
It's 100% stock in the mechanical area. What is the top speed the computer limits me to?:help:

I've been well over 110 in my '04, with a Dec '03 build date, and did not hit the speed limiter. (completly stock)
It was driveshaft vibration that told me what the limit on my MM was. :D

I have seen the limit number at between 117 and 120 mph. Of course, I have not yet tested it personally !!! :D

That has always seemed like an awfully low top limit since the beast doesn't hit third gear till the low 90s when ya keep the pedal down. Even stock it feels to me like my 03 could just keep on accelerating. The faster it goes, the faster it WANTS to go! I have yet to find a "private test track" and really let the horses out to play.
My '03 is limited @ 125 mph.

I have heard that with the stock gearing and the limiter pulled that it will shift into od @ 140. But personally I couldn't tell you as I did my gears @ the same time as my chip. :dunno: Shift points now are 40, 80, and 125. (4.10s)

My driveshaft also told me that 110 - 115 is it for me.
My stock '04 was still strong at 120 in OD the one time I pushed it that high.
It felt good and so shaft vibration ....although I was vibrating a bit!!:coolman:

My Friend jsut bought a used marauder, stock 71K on the clock.
it was limited severely at or above 110
We have installed a DR SCT tune and
now screams wildly past any previous speed limiter

The FHP here were hiting the limiter at around 120 MPH they now run better than 150 MPH

I hit 125mph when My 03 300A Marauder was Stock with 3.55 gears in 4th gear before the Computer Said "You had Enough Buddy" After 110mph the Car felt like it was on rails, It didnt shake or vibrate at all. As a Matter of Fact, It felt Smoother at 110-125mph then it does at 65mph. After a tune from DR and Configuring the Top Speed Limiter out of the Car Completely, I got it up to 135mph before I had to let off due to upcoming traffic and Common Sense kicking in! It Felt Like I could reach at least 150mph even with my 4.10's. I still had more RPM left and the car Was still pulling!

4:10's = 130 in third...shift to OD and got scared when I ran out of needle on the speedo...
Governor deleted with tuning, and I run a DYNOTECH police interceptor drive shaft at the cost of $180 wholesale with ZERO vibrations.

I had heard of a limiter and set out to find it (on a private track, of course). My stock '04 was still pulling at 129 but I decided that was plenty fast for me.

If you haven't changed the driveshaft and/or you feel vibration above 115 or so, you need to check the rear seal on the transmission. There is a lot of good advice on the board concerning driveshaft vibration. I wallowed out the rear seal before I had changed gears, chip or anything, with only 14,000 or so on the odometer. 4:10's or 4:30's will only make it worse.
Invest in a good metal Matrix driveshaft before making a lot of "top end" runs. After a driveshaft change, work on the chip, and you won't be dissapointed with it's high end performance.
Dennis Rheinhart and several others have spent a lot of time researching this, and will be happy to advise you.
