Marauder Down

I totaled my marauder today :( Everyone is ok, my tread was too low on my tires because the ones I wanted (KDW2s) are on 3 week back order from tire rack.... so I lost it in a turn and hit a parked grand marquis after doing a 180 at about 40mph or so. My side air bag went off and I broke my sunglasses when I hit the drivers side window, but I seem to be ok. I guess I will post pictures some time in the near future, but right now I am just to depressed about losing the most amazing car I have ever owned (and I used to have a 96 impala SS!). I have no idea what to do for a car now... I am at a complete loss, I am never sure if anything can fill this void in my heart.

Glad your ok!! I understand the feeling about the Marauder but it was just a car and there are some for sell here. You on the other hand could never be replaced! Good luck and don't worry, most of the Marauders that get banged up look worse than they really are.... but at this time you only know that. Take something for the bumps your going to be feeling and take it easy for a while.

As Torinodan said, You can never be replaced. It sucks, and I know the feeling. Hang in there and thank God everyone made it OK.

Sorry for your accident and glad to hear you and yours are OK. I was leary about driving my MM with worn rear tires, so I ordered KDW2's from tire rack Thursday, 8th, and they were delivered to my front door the 9th. The shipment must have just arrived, bummer.

I am assuming that the insurance company is going to want to "Total" the car out and just cut me a check for it. I was actually supprised how low the kelly blue book value was for it when I looked today. regardless, I have to go get some things out of it today so I will take some pictures and perhapes you all can make judgements on if you all think it is fixable or not.

The quickest way to cheer up is to get another Marauder.

Their is a DTR '04 W/ 4500 miles & a moonie.
The paint looked superb.
Probably came from the same dealership as new.
I bought mine at the same place. It too, was missing valve stem caps.:nono:

It is hard to tell from the pictures if it is a total loss. Might be repariable IMO.

Well it's repairable but will the insurance co. repair it don't know. If you buy it back i'd like the front bumper cover and the wheels.

Im Glad that you,re O.K. It could have been worse. from the view of the pictures it appears to be repairable but that depends on the INS co and what they want to do.

I am also on Marauder #2 after totaling the first one. Tires were as bald as a baby's bottom and I was driving past thier performance envelope. The new Marauder has almost bald tires and I've been driving around like a blue hair untill the new tires are installed which should be this week. It's amazing how important tread is. My insurance company blew the KBB price out of the water. They called dealers in my area and based thier price on that. American National Casulty rocks. Now I have an 04 after looking at 6 other Marauders. Good luck! There are more out there.

:o Sorry to hear about your accident. From your pictures, the tires on your car actually have more tread than mine have on them right now! As you were, I am waiting on new skins and have been careful for the last month or so. Fortunately we have had little rain so all my travels have been on dry pavement. Hope the insurance gods are kind to you and you can replace it with another MM.

Well I heard back from the claims adjustor today, they have decided to total my baby... I have to go get my stuff out of it by monday, not sure what is going to happen to it after that. do I need to ask so you all can start contacting the salvage yard to get parts from it? I am an organ donar, it only makes sense that my car should be as well I guess...

so that settles that... just thought you all should know :(
