To all San Fran/Oakland area MM owners: I'm writing tonight to ask for your help.
As some of you probably know already, I've relocated from St. Louis to Honolulu; in the process of doing this, I've had to ship my MM. The gov't contract shipping company has a website, whereismypov.com, that allows owners to somewhat track the progress/status of their vehicles. For the last week, the status on my car has remained constant: It's listed as being at Oakland. They don't say which particular terminal, but I know for a fact that Matson Lines is the shipper, so its going to be somewhere around their facilities.
The favor that I need of someone is thus: Can I ask you to snoop-and-poop around the docks in Oakland and see if you can see my beloved Black Hulk? It's a standard-issue 2003 300A; distinguishing characteristics are MartyO fender badges immediately above the beltline molding on the trailing edge of the front fenders, and a Missouri license plate on the back, license #714 WMY (Seven-fourteen Whammy). It's possible that they left my custom plate on the front bracket; it'll be a grey/silver finish with a bright-red border and black lettering that reads "I'M NOT DRIVING FAST, I'M JUST FLYING LOW" followed by the outline of a LearJet.
Now...I should say that if you don't see it, that might not mean anything bad; it's possible that it's on the ship already. But it would mean a lot to me if someone could go down and take a look around...the last sight I had of my car was a baby-faced southern Illinois plowboy jumping into it and throwing roostertails of rainwater from both rear wheels....
