Hey
I was wondering if there were any MMs in Mid-Michigan taht would want to race. I have a 95 Caprice with the LT1 and was looking to race one of these new Marauders to see how fast they really are.
Please LMK

Well, my best 1/4 time and speed is in my sig. This was bone stock with just over 3000 miles.
Over the winter, I have the Mods listed installed. I'm hoping to run 13.999 or better. We will see.
Whats your best time?

All we have to do is drive them. :)
If you're basing your knowledge of Marauder performance on the info in car mags - well, you're getting the wrong idea...

Well, that was my very first time ever at a track, and we have some Marauders running 14.8 bone stock.
The Reinhart chip does wonders... :) Even minor changes to these Mod Motors can have big payouts. But the 4.10 will be the biggest differance in time. Moving the torque lower in the band is where most of the time will come from.
Please understand, the 13.999 is what I WANT to run. I havn't do it yet.
Looking at your sig, you've done much of what I have, but our motor already breaths better then anything ford has ever produced, so intake to exhaust work is not needed

yea dude
ive done a lot of just bull**** mods.
Im not saying Im going to beat anyone or lose to anyone....just wanna gauge MY proformance.
I had 3.23 from the factory, I WILL beat a stock SS or Caprice no problem. Once i get tires I should be in the low 14s without a hitch.
I also have a ****ty trans, it slips alot and needs to be rebuilt, Im losing power there too.
Like you said, these are numbers I THINK i will run, I relaly hope and do truely believe I will run these times.

The AODE trannies work wonders! ;) I believe the increase at 70MPH is 350RPM?

LT1 - MM's have 18" wheels. The large diameter tire/wheel combo effectively lowers (numerically) the final drive ratio.
Any avid 4 wheeler knows that once you slap on a set of 40" super swampers, you darn well better be prepared to swap in a couple sets of 4:56's in the pumpkins.

It's a 4R70W, not AODE.

MM's come with 3.55's, so jumping to 4.10's isn't much different than us jumping from 3.08's to 3.73's.
Hey MM guys, what's your stock tire diameter?

I would love to pit my Cat up against one of your MM just to see the difference, i know i would get my A$$ handed to me but it would be so cool to experiance. Mine is all stock except for exaust well at leas till the weather gets a bit better! I am going to do a complete redo of the car looks and performance. Any of you guys in the Mass. Area?
Thanks
