Called my dealership today about installing 4.10 gears. Asked service manager if they could switch gears in my Marauder, after a brief pause he say's, UGH WHY ? So I explain to him about better low end performance. He informs me they can only replace them with the originals. OK fine thanks for nothing!, as he mumbles something about the warranty I hang up. I then call a local SVT Ford dealership and they say there could be a warranty issue, will check into it and call me back. I'm expecting the same results. My question now is I plan on getting a supercharger as soon as a do it yourself step by step kit becomes available. Will it make a difference whether I have the 3.55's or the 4.10's with the supercharger. With all that added power would it really be necessary? Thanks for any input.:rasta:

Menace,
With the supercharger you would not miss the 4:10's.
Problem is......you still have a warranty issue with engine and driveline. If they bawk at gears they will definitely have a fit over a supercharger. I say screw it and do it. Enjoy your car. Thats what I plan on doing. :D

You might want to touch base with Dennis, he has an uncanny ability of finding performance shops to take care of the installation work...

Beyond that, find out where your local Mustang guys take their cars...

I highly recommend the gear change. It's not an obvious modification, so unless they take apart your rear end to check, you'll never have an issue.

I have been hearing the same things from Dealers around here. Even the place that sells the Saleen 'Stangs, says: "Warranty...... UmmHH AHH, we don't know !! Wouldn't do it.
At least they were able to recommend a local Performance Place, that has worked with KB in the past. We'll see what they say.
Good luck otherwise.

As far as gears go, superchargers like them low. Keep the 3.55s and spend the money somewhere else.
