I just installed a reese trailer hitch and need some help/advice. What type of trailer wiring do you have. I know there is a hard wired and a T-one connector that is installed between a plug for the rear lights. According to the website they only list one up to the 1997 GM. Does anybody have one of these installed and if so do you have the part number? And where is the plug at to insert it.:dunno: I would prefer one of these I do not like to splice wires onto a wiring harness. Please HELP:help: !

Thanks.

there are trailer wiring adapters that plug in between the left and right
side tail lights...otherwise you will probably have to splice into the
wiring harness to hook up the lights..to many light can overload the
car wiring..or if you have lamp out warning feature will cause the
dash light to come on..the link is to one of the adapters available..
the plugs for the tail lights should be the same for the 97 to 2004
GM/CV and Marauders
does this help?
Brown wire is the tail light ..Green with red stripe is signal/brake light
black should be the ground..

Thanks.I have been pulling a small trailer behind my 2000 GM for a year now with no LCM issues. I spilced into the tail light wiring under the carpet of the trunk. The other word of advice is run the wires through one of the trunk grommets. Then get some self adhesive cable holders that can be snapped open and shut and put three of them on top of the reciver and put the harness there when not in use. I had a 92 vic that I let the harness hang out of the trunk and it scratched the hell out of the bumper cover.

If you have LCM concerns convert the trailer to the new LED lights. They have almost no load at all compared to a standard bulb. I saw a set for around $50 at Autozone.

For those of you who hardwired your trailer connection, what is the best way to get to the battery from the trunk?

TIA!!!!!
