IMOA meeting point plans

For those of you driving to the IMOA show in Hickory Corners on Saturday morning and coming from east of I-69, we have a plan.

We will meet in Battle Creek at about 8:00 AM Saturday. Going west on I-94, take the Capital Ave exit (#97). Turn left on Capital Ave, cross the highway and the traffic light, and we will meet in the Knapp's parking lot on the right. There are at least 5 good breakfast restaurants within 1/4 mile of this spot. We can decide as a group where we want to eat.

Dave will call me when the group passes Marshall and Jennifer and I will leave the house to meet you.

After breakfast we will drive to the west side of town and stop at a car wash for any last minute cleaning. The car wash is big enough so that everyone should be able to clean their cars at the same time. Little or no waiting.

From there it is a 20-30 minute drive to to the show on good roads.

Bring radios if you have them. I will have one each for myself and Jennifer.

I want to, only problem is where to pick each other up along i-94. Paul and I will jump on 94 up by us...but where can the rest of you meet up along the way?

Zeeb Rd is exit 170 or there about. You get off at #97, 73 miles on I-94. How fast are you driving? Figure about an hour. I don't think there is much construction between these two points. They have finished the work that was going on over this way. There may be some in Jackson on US-127/I-94, but it was very short last time I was through there and should be OK on a Saturday morning if it is still there.

Ok, how about this...we shoot for meeting up at the Mcdonalds at Zeeb Road at 7am. Paul, John O, John S, myself, and anyone else coming from the east side will hop on I-94 here and head out, but its going to be a good hour drive for us at least to get to Ann Arbor. If we meet up at 7am at Zeeb road, and hop right back on 94, Kirk says its 73 miles to the exit we are meeting him at. 73 miles is 45-50 min. 8 am...Quick bite to eat...20 min drive....car wash....get to the car show around 9 am, 9:30 at the latest. Car show goes from 9-9:30 am and goes till 4pm. Dinner is later.
How does that sound?
