Has anyone found any decent looking splash guards to protect the sides of their MM? The dealer tells me the accessory catalog says "fits all except Marauder". I'd like to stop the rock chips and sand blast from all the salt/sand left on the roads from winter. I already have noticable pitting on the lower body trim in FRONT of the rear tires (from the blast coming back off the front tires). On my last miata I actually blasted all the paint and rubberized stuff of the lower body from the blast coming back off the front tires. I don't want to repeat that here. Then again I also don't want any big honking "mud flaps" hanging down either. Anyone found a good compromise?

I too have been looking for a set of molded splash guards for some time. I can't find crapola either.

Ford has a pair for the front that will fit, I put them on last weeKend. # F8AZ16A550BA They are molded and look and fit perfect. they are for the 2003 grand Marquis, and on the mercury vehicles site they list this # as a fit for the Marauder, and they do. sorry I have no fix for the rear as of yet.

Thank you very much 76er!! Just got off of the phone with the parts man. He said that they have rears listed too but both part #s do not include the Marauder. Maby we have a different rear fiasca? I ordered them both anyway I'll fit em up against before I take them. Great site! Great fix! Rock Chips SUCK!!

KED hooked me up.

PS, don't be afraid of attempting to mount something on the rear because it's all plastic. It CAN be done!

If anyone can post a photo of these splash guards mounted on the car, please do! Mine is pretty chipped up already around the rocker panels, but I want to see what they do to the looks of the car.

Maybe it's just me, but...

I ordered these last week and got them yesterday. They don't look quite right.

Confirmed the part number on the package this morning

I haven't mounted them yet because there seems to be a little bit of the inner fender in the way.

What am I doing wrong?

Does anyone have pics?

ok, I did not purchase yet, they are in stock tho. When I get home, I was gonna do it. Now KED told me the FRONTS fit well, but the rears MAY not. He only did fronts. That was my plan first. These are definately for a late model marquis, not a MM. So I assumed, and was ok with a close fit......

The fronts are the ones I ordered. Maybe they somehow swapped the parts?

Or could just be me...

The splash guards will fit the outside edge fine a small 1"x1" -section of the black plastic wheel well lining will have to be trimed, easy to do, re-insert the new plastic pin and then drill the two holes for the screws, silicone the holes and install the screws, takes about 10 min. per side.
