HVAC malfunction

Anybody else have any problems with the climate control? Mine seems to randomly decide to blow cold air at my feet, and when I crank up the heat it still just blows cold.

I usually turn the HVAC all the way off, and then hit automatic and it returns to a normal function.

Usually I can hear something like a flap closing inside the dash when it restarts. Obviously worth a trip to the dealer, but I'm wondering if I goofed something up when I changed the stat. If I didn't bleed everything right could I have some air in the system that could be giving me problems?

I'd have to go look, but if I remember right, there's a place in the hard lines that have what appears to be just a bolt like thing in it. This needs to be off during fill up after a loss of a substancial amount of fluid to "bleed" the system.

Like I said, I don't remember if it's on the car or not, I'll have to look in the morning (too lazy to go out to the garage right now...), but I DO distinctly remember something like that on a few of the new cars I have around here that I work on regularly.

Yep. There is a bolt thing that I undid to bleed out from the top, but who knows if I did it right. I'll try it again and see what comes out...
