I had to break down and post this because these pics are so good. I've seen Marauder concept pics before --- and some were these exact shots. But not in in this high resolution where you can pic out some interesting details.
This photos appear on a website in Spain:
http://www.infocoches.com/fotos/mercury/2002-Marauder_Concept/
and appear to be from a US Car show and some publicity beaty shots outdoors. They are two different Marauder concepts. The first, at the show, looks more like a black Crown Vic with Mercury emblems, no fog lamps, a chrome trim line on the fascia and down the sides. Here are two views at high res:

You may need to click on the "expand image" button to see them in the 1600x1200 inage glory.

This car has had the Marauder styling cues changed, the chrome accents are gone, and now Marauder appears on the bumper cover, but differently from the production version:

Eh? What are those wheels? Enkei Aegus DS5's running on Pirelli P-Zero's

I think this is the concept show car, the "2002" concept that looked a lot like a Crown Vic:

Note the door panels and rear of the center console:

If you study the show car Marauder, rear quarter view, look carefully and you'll see Marauder molded into the rear bumber cover in raised lettering. It's subtle, but there. Not as pronounced as the second car. Then, of course, they decided on a lager, recessed Marauder with a special typface. Interesting how these things develope, and makes me wonder what happened to these concept mules. Crushed? Sold?

I'm glad we got better interior in production, but it would have been nice if the 160 mph speedo and the 8k tach would have made it. 7k redline? :hmmm:

Interesting, yes. I like the tires better than the ones we got. it looks like they're beefier. but I like the wheels that we got better than the ones in those pics.

Yes those are Enkei wheels. Unfortunately Enkei no longer has them on their website. I asked Steve about them. They were shown at the '01 LA Auto Show. I might e-mail Enkei about those wheels and see what they say.
I was asking about them in this thread:

A google search for "Enkei Aegis DS5" brings up a web site in Japan selling the wheels (for Yen of course) but no US web sites.

A few notes about that interior pic...
- Wish we had got the rear ducts like they show, just a nice touch.
- I still like the chrome shifter bezel and accents better than the "matrix" look
- What is the apparatus below the A/C control? I see a small "cubby" but to the right it appears to be a series of buttons.
- The speedo cluster almost looks like a Mustang cluster, the way it curves down on the sides hints that it may fit behind a 'stang dash.

I agree Breadfan, that is a Mustang dash. You can see the lower left guage doesn't quite fit in there. This is a revamped 01 CV. Those rims will not fit our cars. I like them though

Thanks for the pics Donny. I have seen most but not all of those pics before. I think that rear A/C would have been nice and the beefier tires but as BillyG mentioned not the rims/wheels.

I agree with you on the first point only. The second point, you're dead wrong. It's kind of like why they don't make shifters with metal balls any more. On hot days when you're at work or at college going to take a break to get lunch or something and you try to start your car and use the shifter, you flinch. You can't touch the shifter because the metal is hot! That's the problem with metal buttons on shifters vrs. using simulated metal looking plastic. I know it looks cheaper to use plastics, and it is, but for thoose hot days, you'll be thankful for the cheap plastic rather than the hot metal button you got to press in to go from park to reverse to drive.

Those rims will not fit our cars. I like them thoughAccording to that site they have them in an 18x8 w 50 offset and a 5X114.5 bolt pattern.
Now to find someone in the states..... or a least a way to get them here.

Ouch on price. 43,600 yen equals 391.54 per rim. and that's not the Silver ones.

I agree as well. Rear seat A/C ducts would've been nice for the passengers.

I think they're cassette holders. Push the button and it slides out. I have something similar in my XR4Ti.

Hey those are the same leather seats I have in my Crown Vic. I must say that I do like the quality and design of the Marauder seats better than those in the picture.
There is no rear air vent from the console in the Crown Vic's either - I wish there was...there is heating that is ducted to the rear seats, but not traditional vents as it shows in the picture.
The metal bezel refered to is around the shifter on the console...not on the shifter itself. Several members here have switched out the dot matrix bezel in the Marauder with the chrome one provided in the Crown Vic Sports like what is shown on the picture. Yes, the chrome bezel will get hot in the summer, but how is it that you are going to touch it when you get in the car and take it out of park??? You still grab the same leather wrapped shift handle that is in the Marauder...I'm confused by that arguement.
As for the wheels, I agree that they look nice, but I do like the factory Marauder wheels better.
Also, that "cubby" in front of the console in the dash is butt ugly. In the Crown Vic, that is where the ash tray slides out. The "Sport" package replaces that ash tray with a storage space "cubby"...no cassette holders (thankfully). I have since replaced my "cubby" with a Marauder gauge pod and added a tach (since the CV/GM didn't come with one) and fuel pressure gauge.

I agree! I've got three daughters and the air duct plastic has been broken out from them sliding into or sitting in middle seat.:depress:

The button on the shifter to move the shifter postion is metal. You'll have to touch it every time you move the shfiter. On my dad's Accord's is metal too and I used to hate that on a hot day. It would make pulling out very annoying. Techinically, you can put up one of thoose sun reflector screens on the windshield but who actually take the time to do that?

Overall I like the current design better, but I do like the dash angle, the 160 mph speedo that we should have had, and my favorite touch is the angled mirror control and door lock/window control buttons in the arm rest. Looks kind of neat.
