View Full Version : Need Front License Plate Bracket

Someone backed into my Marauder yesterday and damaged just the license plate bracket.

I live in one of those states where a front tag is reuiqred.

If anyone has an extra front license plate bracket I would sure be interested.

I've got one too, and can't wait to get the damn thing off. What is the trick? I've reached around behind the bumper but can't get to the screws?

Unfortunatly I'm in a temp living situation and don't have my tools, jacks, or other things I would usually have access to. My 2 feeble attemps to remove this thing were both in autozone parking lots!

The license plate bracket is put on with plastic/retaining studs/screws
that go into the bumper (permanent application)
to take the bracket off you have to pry the screws out or pry
the whole bracket away for the bumper...while being careful not to
scratch anything...the key is to take your time...slowly pry it loose.
I got mine off in good order. Good Luck!

Mine is held on with four screws that go only through the license plate thingy and into the bumper cover. I only keep it on there to hide the ugly splintered holes made by whatever Bozo put it on at the dealership. Broke my heart when I found they had desecrated the bumper that way.

Do what I did.

Be in the wrong place at the wrong time where someone plows into your front end, blames you for cutting in front of them causing both insurance companies to fight one another for damages.

Told the body shop to not dare but that damn thing back on my purdy new bumper! :D
