Back to the Dealer today as I could not remove a passenger front lug nut while installing my Gorilla Locking Nuts. The factory lug nut would rotate counter-clockwise. However, it would not come off. :mad:

I have had this happen on my '01 GM, so this was no surprise to me. Just pizzed me off!

I arrive at the Dealer this afternoon and was told they were pretty backed up. Tim promised me he would see about moving me up as I am a repeat, good standing and paying customer. :D

Within 5 minutes my MM is in a bay with 3 techs :drool: ing over the freshly Zainoed paint job ;) (ditched work today).

The tech backs off the factory lug nut with an impact showing no stripping of the threads whatsoever. :confused:

He then runs it back on with an impact and torque stick for a 100 ft/lb target. Nope, spun like hell but would not achieve torque. :dunno:

After raising the car off the ground then taking the wheel, caliper and rotor off, the lug post was found to be loose and would just spin inside of the spindle.

A new lug post was installed 10 minutes later with a new factory lug nut in one hand and my keys in the other.

Ford Warranty -> $48.11

MM2004 -> $0.00 :D

It's the small victories in life that make it all worthwhile.

Please change your avatar. Mr.MM2004. I'm not a homo-phobe, it's just annoying! I'm sure others are annoyed also. It isn't even cute. :puke:
