View Full Version : Addco bars squeaking.

I installed both front and rear Addco stabilizer bars a few weeks back, and have been very pleased with them.

However, now they are squeaking quite loudly when I go over a bump in the pavement (usually at around 20 mph on my neighborhood street).

I've seen it mentioned in another thread here that you are supposed to grease the bushings, but no grease came with the bar, and the instructions certainly do not mention grease.

If that is the proper solution, what type of grease should I use? Synthetic?

I used marine grease...but any good wheel-bearing/chassis-lube grease should suffice.

You may need to use synthetic grease because of the bushing material.

I used a wheel bearing grease, we'll see how it holds up...

Greasing the bushings fixed this issue.

I used Valvoline synthetic grease. No squeaking at all now.

Thanks, to those who replied.
