Hi guys,
First off id just like to thank all of you for all the info that you have put up on this site that has helped me make my Marauder the car i have always dreamed of. However, now i actually have a question that i was not able to dig up any info about in the forums. I have an 04 DTR with the heated seats and my lights in the heated seat switches are blinking like crazy on both sides. It started about a week and a half ago on the passengers side and now its also doing it on the drivers side. Has anyone else had this problem? If so how do you fix it? Its just one of those things thats really annoying especially at night. Id appreciate any info at all.
Thanks and God Bless,
Matt

Welcome to the colllective!

I am having the same issue with my passenger seat heat switch. The dealer will replace the switch under warranty.

How many miles on the clock do you have?

I am assuming you have a DTR?

Mike.

Now that John has checked in and welcomed you, I can say 'Welcome to the site!'

It's always nice to see a younger guy with an interest in this car (who actually owns one as well), and there seems to more and more all the time.
Take notice Ford.

Yeah most of the guys i go to school with really love the car. The best part is that half of them had no idea what it was and now they cant get enough of it! So much so that i feel in a couple of years a few of them may be driving secondhand ones. It really does draw an unbelivable amount of attention when i pull it into the lot espically with the Flowmasters :bows:

I second that notion on Ford needing to take notice! All my friends like my car, some of them are pretty jealous of it actually. And I'm not just talking about males...

By the way welcome to the site man, I can only imagine the fun and looks you get in the highschool parking lot, I get a couple looks on a daily basis in the college lot, but a lot of people in college have nice cars. There's not too many high schoolers pulling up in an MM! Props man!

Hello everyone...
...it seems like a lot of people are having problems with the heated seat switches. What a pain. Both of my switches are broken in some way (one doesn't light/functions and the other one lights/doesn't function). My MM has 46,000 miles and is way passed the warranty expiration. I live in Florida and I know it's not a big deal if they don't work...yatta yatta. Does anyone know how much the switches cost or if it is cheaper to get them from a junk yard (if so which cars)?

Thanks everyone, D.J.

Yeah I cant complain :D. Alot of the younger kids see me driving around campus after school and in the hallways they think I am a teacher. I happen to look alot older than I am too so that may have something to do with it.

Welcome to the site Matt! :burnout:

Ya that's pretty sweet driving a hot car like ours to school. I bet those flowmasters sound awesome. Can't beat that Ford V8 sound.

I've always been a fan of driving something "different". I was driving my then 3-month old S2000 to high school and it was great seeing everyone's attention (administrators, officers, etc...). But I will agree with ridinclean's reply...when you get to a university...things change. The other day on campus I saw a lime green Lotus Elise and a BMW 645Ci. Wonder where they got the money...

And yeah I love the sound those flowmasters make at just about 2300 rpms, its hard to explain but the sound goes from really deep to really agressive. IMO the marauder is still alot cooler than that lotus or that BMW could ever be. Dont get me wrong Id love to get behind the wheel of either but id never trade my marauder for one.
