Today I noticed a new drip mark in my driveway, my car normally does not leak.
The mark in the drive seemed right behind the drivers side front wheel. So this made it very easy to find.......
It seems that my Powerbrake booster is suddenly leaking fluid, its generally wet at the bottom, and down below I see the remnants of drip marks down the frame.
So it off to the Dealershio to have the brakes repaired under warranty, I only have about another 60 days to get the squeaks and deck rattle fixed otherwise its soon to be all mine (to pay for general repairs).
Anybody else loose a brake booster??? just a thought

Make sure that the cap on the master cylinder is on properly, if you recently had a service done, it probably was put on inproperly......if not then off to the Dealer you go....

Great...
Does anyone know where our cruise control module is located?

Most likely it is the master cylinder leaking into the brake booster. Keep us posted.

This might sound paranoid... but I'd have it towed.
Brake fluid is very flammable. I vividly recall checking the brake fluid on my old Marquis years ago... about 1988 I think. A few drops trickled onto the hot exhaust manifold and instantly burst into flames!
I slapped the lid back onto the master cylinder and blew as hard as I could... fortunately there wasn't more brake fluid to ignite and the flames only lasted a few seconds, but I wouldn't screw around with this!

I'm always moping up seepage from around the cap, if you haven't done this, maybe it's just an accumulation? Keep us posted? Hasn't been much mentioned about a problem with brake hydraulics.

Anybody else loose a brake booster??? just a thoughtgood luck, Greg. Some times (every blue moon is seems) timing works in our favor. this may be one of those times. Get it in now if you have any question about it. When the warrentee is gone as you say it is YOUR problem.:)

I just got back from the dealership....
it is a bad master cylinder causing the fluid leak.
Of course, they don't have the part on hand, and I will have to go back this afternoon for the installation, but it is being taken care of by the dealer.
I wonder if mashing the peddle at 96mph at the Gainesville track might have brought this problem to light....I am glad it broke now, and not at 36K

What was bad about it? Where was it leaking? Did they say?

Greg,
How did you make out this afternoon at the dealer? What was the problem with the master cylinder? Anything the rest of us should be looking at?? Thanks. Dennis. GLAD YOU WENT! Any reference to your mods? :)

I went back on Friday morning to get the master installed.
They did it real quick and cleaned up real well when they were done.
No mention of any mods to the car, this dealer is Mod friendly, they did my 4:10's
They may have issue when its supercharged though

That's the problem I had...one new master cylinder and one new booster under extended warranty!
