Its been a long wait, the first installers had the car 3 weeks and only managed to wash it and put their company stickers on it :bs: .

They would not call me back so I paid them a suprise visit to find nothing done, so I rescued her from Steeda. It took me another couple weeks to get in at Sean Hyland Motorsport's and it was well worth the wait. They had it in and out in 3 days and did a great job.

I was very impressed with how the kit seemed to tighten up the driveability of the whole car. The tuning seemed sloppy stock, was a little better with Superchips tuning, 4.10's and a PI stall but still not quite right. Now the car seems to react and shift much better that it ever has (even before boost). I was also quite suprised at how smoothly the car accelerates now, you really need to keep an eye on the speedo.

I have Nitto's in my garage just waiting on some widened rims so I am holding off on taking her to the track. I did get a chance to have a bit of a taste on the highway, passing is sooo much fun now that she transforms into a rocket at WOT :burnout:

I dyno'd out at 381 / 357 with a solid 11 PSI (thanks to the K&N I presume), I was expecting a little more given the extra boost but I have no reason to complain. I understand this is typical without exhaust mods. I have cobra svo shorty's and an x-pipe waiting to be installed, so I am hoping to break into the 400's with that.

I was fairly impressed with my before dyno of 290.5 / 343.4, this was with DR stage 1, PI Stall, K&N FIPK and UDP's. Despite the numbers it was not even in the same ball park as it is now, as far as acceleration goes - instant smiles now :D .

What a fantastic kit, well worth every penny! Can't wait to hit the track.

Did SHM do the Trilogy only or did you have them do some engine work, too?

Best,

Dan

Congratulations on your purchase of a fine product that will renew the joy of driving!!!!!

I had a hell of a time figuring out your graph until I enhanced the contrast on it, it looks like you did not have 3rd locked, so that high tq reading on the before was your tranny downshifting, I estimate your real peak at about 305 rwhp. Your before should be about 290 rwhp/305 rwtq. Very good start.

Intake and exhaust will put you at the 400 rwhp in my opinion, you are very close already. Again congratulations and enjoy !!!!:D

Good eye on the real peak. Sean attributed the spike to the SCT ( although I do not think I told him about the PI Stall ), he said the actual was close to 290, I think he was guessing at a glance at that point, as my level off mark was right where you picked it up at 305.

I would have liked to have taken it to Liddo but finding an extra few days to wait in Detriot is difficult for me, even though its not that far from here. It is definately on my list to see him, maybe when I get brave enough to upgrade the pulley I will have him work his magic.

I did not have any engine mods done at SHM, at least not yet. His next recommendation was some stiffer suspension. FYI, he drives a Marauder too so that helps IMO.

Smokie, I understand you are working with SVO shorties too, any chance you could send of a description of how your spacer is setup? I have DR's old instructions and pics from his original post but its not that clear, at least to me how the spacer needs to work to clear the steering shaft. Also, looks to me that there is an extension just before the cats on DR's pics that he does not mention, did you have to modify your X-pipe as well, and if so was it an extension just before the cats? Thanks for your help.

Thanks for your help. The spacer (1/8" thick steel washer) goes directly under the driver side engine mount, the mount bolt goes thru it of course, yes there is an extension welded to x-pipe, check out link with pictures that should be helpful.:)
