Several of you might be interested in a storage compartment available that could be used in the MM trunk. Actually there are two , one for each side of the trunk.
Go to the following website and look at the side storage containers for the Ford Police Cars. The Drivers side one wouldnt work with the CD changer, but the passenger side would be nice for cleaning supplies.

First I've seen those, Scott ..interesting. I have the regular slip in unit designed for the cars, and am very pleased with it. Ray (aka The Dealer, has 'em at a very attractive price) :D

They been avaiable for Police cars fro about 2 years. the Pro-Gard comapny alos makes the sliding shelf tray. Ive seen them in person and they look good. the passenger side installs to a predrilled hole. I thought they would be good for storing cleaning supplies

I would like it powdercoated or carpet covered. Too much bling for my old eyes. You have to becareful here in Arizona. Pop the trunk on a bright day, get instant sun blindness !

Thanks for the interesting site link. That sliding tray might work nicely for a subwoofer mono amp mount. I like their description of their moonroof option:..."added light removes cavernous feeling"...I never even knew our MM's were cavernous, or that I should "feel" they were!

Im thinking that might be a good place to put the jack, its always moving around and making loud thuds. I feel like the rear end is falling apart.

...passenger side would be nice for cleaning supplies...
:o Well, that confirms it, I have way to many cleaning supplies in my trunk.
Nice storage box, but not big enough for all of mine. :(
