Everyone: This is my first time on the Forum. Love reading other members stuff but love my 04 Marauder even more. Black with Light Titanium. Gets a lot of nice complements. Have only one problem. The passenger side heated seat button keeps flickering. Can the problem be fixed by removing the carbon fiber piece on the passenger door where the switch is located or does the whole darn panel have to be taken off. Can the carbon fiber piece just be popped off or is there a trick to it?
Also, where on the web site can I find out about how many 03 and 04 Marauders were built by color, options etc.? I heard there are only about 150 or so in my color combo but I have moonroof, 6 CD changer and other options.
By the way, Lincoln Mecrcury wouldn't give me the stats when I called but they asked me if I wanted my car's build sheet. Of course I said yes. That was two months ago and I'm still waiting for it.

Someone at LM offered you a copy of your build sheet ?.
Never heard of that happening.
If it ever shows up ... do you have name of who you spoke to ?.
Is there anyone else that could shed some light on this ? ..... I'd love a copy if one was available.
All of my seats have been out ..... no build sheets found to date. The only interesting thing I found was a small label on the power seat track.
The problem with the heated seat switches going on the fritz is a common one. Assuming your still under your bumper to bumper ..... take it to FLM dealer so they can take care of it.
I'm sure it's only a matter of time my car comes down with this affliction.

My 04 has over 40K miles and no problems,
other than a Thermostat and Serpentine Tensioner.

Hey, Hi, 04! :welcome:
You're going to love the car, and the folks on this site. There's all sorts of info on the Search tab, and it's a great place to brouse. Where do you live? There's regonal groups to hook up with, and they're loaded with great folks. Thak a look down below the vendor list for the group nearest your area. :)

Welcome aboard.
I must say, my '04 just started with this same issue. The heated seat still functions but the LED keeps flickering. Let me know if and when you get it fixed and what you did. Thanks.

Welcome to the site!
The door panels must be removed to replace the switch.
I had both go, just as you describe.

My drivers side heated seat button flickers and has since about 5000 miles. That's the only thing I've noticed in over 16K miles. I just haven't bothered to take it in just for that one issue. The first time I take it in (tranny flush?) will be when I get the button fixed. I hope the passenger side goes too so I can get both done!

Thanks man for answering my thread. I'm fairly handy so I thought I'd take a shot at it so I posted the thred for more info. By the way, what's the frequesncy of transmission fluid changes you've been told to do? I had Grand Marqs for nearly 30 years before I bought the Marauder and changed the filter and fluid about every 25,000. Does the same hold true for the marauders?

I had the same problem and got it fixed last week with the tranny fluid and filter change. The dealer was cool about it and everything is fine now.
