Not Any more I am not!
I just droped off the black beast at one of its last visits to the
Dealership service center.
I have a rear deck rattle and a squeak in the front that the tech. heard on a test drive.
I really can't complain, they gave me a Lincoln Signature to drive around.
I wonder how many miles they are putting on it....
Thank goodness its not supercharged yet! they would all be out toolin around in my car.
On a side note: Anybody with a supercharged Maruder ever let a valet parker touch the car?

The beauty of the Trilogy (and perhaps other kits) is that the peel the paint off power does not kick in until you mash on it. A little throttle by the pimply faced testosterone laden valet really won't put the MM through the parking garage wall. At least it didn't at various restaurants where I had my car valet parked.

I feel nauseous at the thought of letting a valet park my car.... perhaps a boost preventer is in order...hmmmm, gears are a turning...

Well, my car has been at the dealership 2 days now....
They say that the squeak in the cabin is comming from the AC unit. So now it needs to go to the AC mechanic.
I think they just want to drive it :)

Please let us know if they find the front squeek. Our dealer never could hear it. After driving awhile the squeek starts. After it sits, no more squeek until it's driven 20 minutes or so. I thought it might be front suspension bushings but now it sounds like the dash or left front firewall area. :( :( :(

Have them check the Serpentine Belt tensioner.
I had a squeak that would not start until the engine was good and hot.
There is a TSB where the Serpentine Belt and the tensioner are both replaced for noise.

We shut the engine down and got out. We pushed down several times on the left front fender and heard the squeek. Also heard it several times when we opened and closed the drivers door. May be two different squeeks.

Two whole days without my car, horrible withdrawl, like I drive alot or something.
They seem to have found a squeak, my issue was a chirp.
The squeak was the AC compressor clutch alignment....ok?
I spoke to the Manager/Director of the Service dept. he drove my car along with a band of others, his comment " thats the best Marauder I have driven" he is a part time FHP, I trust his opinion.
It was hard to tell, but there are "No More squeaks or rattles" inside the car, the Technician must have done something too simple to put on the report.
But everything I asked for was in order.
Leather behind steering wheel, glued into place.
Lighted window switches , Replaced
AC compressor remove and replace, totally unexpected.

I had a squeak in the front end. I thought it was suspension. Turned out to be my hood. As far as a valet...you can get some switch chips where you can have a valet mode installed. Flip the chip into valet mode...and no more worries. My chip has that capability, (I have 4 positions) but I don't have valet mode yet.

Are you still having this squeek? I got a 300A 03 2 weeks ago and I think has the same sound. A dealership tech i know mentioned there is some kind of plastic "bushing"(for lack of better word) than can be installed somewhere on the front suspension. I guess it's one of those parts that are made to basically shut a complaining customer up. Since they don't hear a squeek after that, as far as they're concerned they had a prob but now it's fixed.... even though there's no actual problem. That's just my take.

Our squeek is gone. My wife had a minor fender bender in the Marauder. The car got sc***** across the front end.Parts replaced were header panel, both headlights, grille, front bumper and cover. Fenders and hood were ok but had to be adjusted. When we got it back from the body shop, no more squeek. Don't know if it was hood adjustment or parts being properly replaced on the front. Car looks and drives great. Good luck on yours.

I had an interior/rear deck rattle a la Subwoofer. Pulled out all of the rear seat (while I was running my Sirius antenna off the rear 3rd brake light thanks to another post elsewhere on this site). Decided to take that stuff you line your toolbox drawers with (rubbery liner) and place it under sensitive areas (the rear deck lid cover bowes up over certain areas, nice close fit in others). Solved the rear deck lid rattle (on OASIS too from years ago I found thanks to RoyLPita).
Also packed a little liner in the baby seat buckles (the plastic snap-shut covers) in the rear deck. They pick up quite a bit of vibration from our little sub pumping so much air through the rear deck. Just some add'l insurance.
Nice and quite with decent bass and no rattle now. Same theory used by tech's on new cars with the same complaint...find the general area and start lining/packing the area with a rubbery mat'l to solve...
There are normally two squeaks that are common on MM. The first one which is the easy to find, which is the one from the hood. Find an empty road or parking lot with bumps and drive at 5 mph over some bumps. Then do the same with the hood popped, if the squeak goes away it is coming from the hood/hood latch assembly. If it stays, check you front coil spring insulators and front anti-sway bar end links.

I thought I had replied to this almost 3 years ago, might've been the old pos I used to be on or i forgot to click submit :dunno: .
I still experience this from time to time but learned to block/ignore it with loud music. I tend to notice it more when I'm going slow over rough roads and in particular going slow and turning, like when I pull into my parking lot.
About a year ago I tried some silicone grease(i'm pretty sure but not 100% positive it was that) on the rubber tops of the 2 adjustable hood bumpers/bumpstops(?) I guess you could call them. This was after fiddlin with their height adjustments for awhile without much luck.
For me and for the most part, this seemed to help; however and obviously, in a place like that and the constant movement from driving, it doesn't stay put forever, but was a solid couple months if not more.
Now if I remember my physicsgelbra correctly, theoretically if those 2 rubber parts are one cause for the squeak, it's partly due to the 2 smooth surfaces rubbing against each other.
If anyone reads this and agrees, would it make sense to simply rough up the rubber pads a bit with maybe sandpaper? I don't suppose it'll hurt anything. Worst case scenario I can get new ones but doubt it'd come to that.
sorry for the lil diatribe there, haven't been able to be on a computer that could access message boards in quite some time and needed to share and get some feedback.

Its been my experience over the years that taking a car, any car, to the dealer to fix a little squeak or rattle inevitabley leads to even worse squeaks and rattles. A car is never going to be as tightly put together as when its new, this is especially true on interior parts with those little plastic clips ect... Unless it is a really loud/bad noise, I generally just turn on the radio instead of worrying about it.
