Marauder gets it's own VIN code?

Looking at the most recent Order Guide draft for the 2004 Marauder, it looks like Mercury has assigned it it's own Code, M79, instead of the M75 Grand Marquis code the 2003 uses.

Maybe you all knew this and I'm just noticing, but it is interesting.

Especially if the 2004 is the "last" year, why bother with a new code?

BTW, mine has a sticker on the drivers door (separate from the MFD sticker) that says "Mercury Grand Marquis - Black" with a code # 9473 on it. Haven't seen that on anyone elses in person...any you guys got this?

Nope, i just have the mfg. sticker. I wish there was some way to tell what sequence our cars were made, or some code that was speical to the marauder. Heck, i paid alot more for this than some grand marquis and i want more distinction.

the sticker with "9948" on it. The number doesn't match up with any other numbers on the vehicle.

Typo on my part...mine says 9947. I guess it would make sense that ours are in "sequence" since we took delivery together on the same day. Anyone else have this sticker or know what it is?
