View Full Version : 4:10 gears with street tires?

I'm probably getting my gears put in next weekend however I'm not planning to buy racing tires till spring. Is there any advantage to putting the gear in with no plans for racing tires or burnouts?

You won't have too many problems with the street tires. I've got the 4.10s and they don't light 'em up as easy as you think. They will get you off the line quicker however.

I've also got the 4:10s with original factory tires. No problem launching the car.
