I just got a call from the dealer saying the car idles in the high end of the temp gauge now with the steeda pulleys installed. They also did a coolant flush. I have a reinhart auto thermostat in there too. Any suggestions?

has nothing to do with the pullies, there is air in your coolant loop,, have them follow the CORRECT procedure for burping the line

Just for your entertainment, my dealer (Bay Ford Lincoln in downtown Toronto) says they can't change my transmission oil because they can't get at the transmission pan because of the skid plates. They told me to take it to a body shop to have them removed! :( I had a TIRE store put them on! Then they had a look at Dennis Reinhart's upgraded oil cooler and said they can't plug into that because they don't have an adapter to fit it. :mad2: All this 2 days before I am supposed to leave for Road America in WI...

AS many mods as your MM has, I figured you'd do the work yourself or let a speed shop have a crack at it.

My regular speedshop is retarded busy and the dealer is just down the subway from me...

They just called & said its ready, I hope they got it solved.

Glad to hear you got that resolved. Looking forward to seeing you at RA on Sunday. I won't be able to make it Saturday. I'll have my camera to take some more video of your racing.

C ya,

Peter

I told him that yesterday and tried to explain how to bleed it he said the techs at the dealership were not sharp, and charged him a horindus fee to install the pullies, I asked him to have them call me.

Several members here have the transmission cooler and there is a adapter for the braided lines, so you can install a temp guage sensor

Dealers suck. 'Cept Ray of course. I mean these games they play really make ownership of these fine autos stressfull.

I would rather purchase directly from Ford.

I wonder how much a car would cost w/o the warranty?

Boy, Charlie; that's not the case with the guys at Cooper Motors in Hanover. They love the Marauder and can't do enough for me/it, and even have a Marauder guy. It's a pleasure to go there, and usually it empties the show room, or at least, all the sales guys make a trip to the service bay to say Hi. :D

Me? I'm on ...:cloud9:

Ok, they are not ALL crap. But the majority of threads here do not reflect positivly for the dealers.

Warranty?? What warranty?? Is that supposed to

come with the car,,someone still has to tell the dealers..
Your paint is cracking cause a bird shat on it..
The A/c clutch chatters,Oh Thats normal..Its R134a!
The leather is coming of the steering wheel cause you grip it too Hard!!
Oh we can't fix that..you have to take it back to where you bought it...
Nation wide warranty??
Customer assistance line..Oh!sorry we can't do anything why don't
you try another dealer!!?
I would hate to see what it costs with a warranty..
Dealer- would you like to buy an extended warranty?..Duh??
Not to reflect on Ray but I'm still trying to find one without the BS..

just for jokes, I took it to Mr Lube, they at least attempted to get at the transmission for an service. They gave up when they saw the braided lines too.

Next attempt will be the place that installed the skid plates :shake:

Your car has already been repainted so we can't

warranty it?? Quote summit ford...Steve Vickers
I bought the car at 10,000 miles,Who has ever
painted an entire car in that mileage..I am
just livid ..Will have an independant paint specialist
inspect the car monday for a written report..
I am half tempted to sell all three of my Fords
an buy something else..
