I have had my 03 Marauder in to the dealers no less than 10 times for a problem. In the morning upon startup, it runs really rough, backfires, stalls. I have to gingerly pump the trottle to keep it going until it warms up. When it warms up, it runs perfectly. The dealer has replaced many parts. On the latest visit, Ford authorized the dealer to remove the top end of the motor and "De-Carbonize" it. Has anyone else heard of this and what was the cure. It started at about 15,000 miles, I now have 35,000. Dealer can not make problem go away........
Help!!!!!!!

There was a Computer upgrade for this on the 300A''s. This corrected the Problem on my car.

I believe this was the fix: 3U7A-12A650-AMA, it was a software update via flash.
I would hope the dealer has already tried this before anything else.
If they did, there should be a dealer applied sticker on the inside/underside of the hood near or to the right of the hood latch opening. It will have the above part number pencil markered on as a "Dealer authorized update".

An update - Since my last post, my Marauder has been back to dealer for warranty work on the problem with the car wanting to stall upon cold startup. After it completely warms up, problem disappears. Until warmup, it wants to stall and I have to feather accelerator to keep engine running. Dealer is scratching their head with no remedy so far. Anybody else have this problem?
Thanks

there is a TSB on this, the fix usually involves a computer code update.
Your dealer should know about it.
