Well as we had posted in the SSM forum a few us made it to Moroso tonight, Juno, MarauderMarc, and myself.

Got there it was running about 89f or so, high 70% humidity, the cloud cover rolled in later, no rain, but helped keep the heat in, three hours later it was still at 88f.

I was out running my current setup, Trilogy (104) w.9psi, PI 3K stall, Grand Muffler exhaust (full), K&N FIPK, and Nitto 305 Drag radials.

I experimented with tire pressure, launch, burnout, etc. As this was my first non- NA/street tire outing to the track. It took a number of 13 second flat passes at 104.7mph, what with the tires spinning through the 60ft range.
I finally cracked off a 12.980 @ 104.76 :woohoo:

I feel the car has more to give, if yours truly can contain hisself. I just wanted to MASH the throttle at the tree.....must.. fight... urge. Track prep was not altogether 'top notch', no one manning the nearly dry water box, etc etc.

Still I am am pumped at the first 12 second pass ever. I even put a few Mach1 guys to shame too :) I dont think they were expecting the big black brick to leave them at the light like a cheap hairpiece in a hurricane.

Yeah, it was a blast. After he had a series of 13.0x's we threatened to start dismantiling the car. Empty the trunk, pull out the backseats, pull out the sub, etc. :) :)

Congrats Man!! :banana2:

I slowed/stopped in the timeslip lane a few times to hear that Trilogy 'zing' by. Awsome!

I ran with MarauderMarc a few times and he kicked my butt by about 1/2 a second every time. My best was 15.476 at 93.3. My best 60 foot was 2.439. I guess it was OK for my first time at the track with the only mod as the DS tune.

Shakes was about 3 or 4 cars behind us in line and after his runs the Lady announcer kept commenting on why we weren't S/Ced yet!!

Nice job Shakes! You definitely got more...especially w/ the wheel spin you said you had. Your launch must be pretty impressive with the Trilogy and the PI 3000 together. Nice job!

Thanks for the good words! I'm gonna have to learn to control myself more. That final run I was focusing on all the right things but got off a dreadfully slow RT, I'm normally a fairly consistent .140-.240, but the .54x felt like I was sleeping at the light.

I guess these times were worth #17 on the timeslip page:burnout:woohoo.

We had a great time. I had no clue about Shakes new supercharger.....bastad!!! It was a great night. My best was a 14.98 @ 95.7mph. whats weird is in the cold with only a tune i did 14.40s....must be the air, heat, and such. Thanx Shakes and Juno for the great night. Beer and burgers topped the night. Well definately have to go again soon now that I am motivated to go faster....

Congrats Marc on the 12.98.....it was well deserved.

Tim,

Friday night, 6pm-2am midnight madness at Moroso, $15 run as much as you can. They even rent helmets, but you only need those if you run faster than a 13.99...http://mercurymarauder.net/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif

Really be nice to see you out there. and do some stomping. http://mercurymarauder.net/forums/images/smilies/beerchug.gif

I see you bumped me down to #19 on the timeslip list. Just got a new tune today so I need to get to a track & beat your 12.98! Great run and congratulations. ya gotta love it!

no doubt! I feel a tune on this setup could make some serious improvements. I'm wondering how much the 3.55s are limiting me. I see your running 4.30s, any problem launching?
