I'm going home with my roommate, and we carpool. This week was my turn, and since my other car is being repaired, I had taken the Marauder to work. Pulling off the freeway, I stop at a light before easing off slowly. At 25mph, I take-off about a half mile to the next light, and get into the left turn lane.
So I wait for the light, signalling. Making a left to go under the overpass, I hear this strange rumble bouncing off the concrete. Lo and behold, a fox-body Mustang Cobra (i'm guessing by the snake thing, who knows) pulls up next to me in all it's shining, custom paint attitude. My gut instinct tells me he wants to make friends with me (my way of saying he wants some.) I'm tired, laugh it off with my roomie while this guy revs himself into a frenzy, obviously mad that I took off.
Light hits green.
I ease up the hill and bring it to 35. This guy shoots ahead, goes back behind me in the other lane, and revs himself into a frenzy again. I'm laughin my ass off because this guy has such a serious face, as far as I can tell through his illegally tinted windows. Next light comes up, and he pulls up next to me, losing a gallon a minute with all his revving.
Light hits green and I take off.
We're gunning up a turn, and I can hear him shifting his transmission. Maybe he's trying to show he can take me by holding something back, but I can hear him tach-ing out, so maybe he wasn't as fast as he thought. 7 or 8 seconds into the uphill climb, I back off, needing no more proof. Apparently this wasn't enough for the guy, as he keeps on driving and posturing like he wants more (pretending to pull into the lane next to me when I signalled the right to go home), and still revvin himself into a frenzy. Whatever, he had his chance. I'm generously calling it a draw since he didn't take me at all the first half, and I definitely would have taken his lunch money any further up.

Fox Body Cobra(?) - 0
Looks like I made a new friend (or enemy haha)
