Today, i'm trying to fix the apparent mistake I made a year ago when I bought my 04 DTR. I obtained a 5 year, 75,000 mile full coverage extended warrantee on the day I bought the car and was under the impression (wasn't paying enough attention!) that since I was sitting in an LM dealer it would be a Ford-backed plan. But noooo, it was only one of the many various insurance policies with no Ford connection. After reading a lot around here and talking with the Ford ESP folks, I finally figured out I probably wasn't in the best situation. So, this week I decided to eat a few bucks and switch to a Ford ESP Premium warrantee out to 75,000. I think it's the right move - I hope so. The big problem was that I drove over 250 miles to get the MM and so am not located near the selling dealer. The old plan might have worked okay if I was near that dealer but if I use anyone else it turns out to be a big insurance policy type hassle. I'd rather have the peace of mind that I can use any Ford or LM dealer without any difference from the extended warrantee point of view. I hope I hear some encouraging words here!
Thanks for any words of wisdom.

Yes the Ford ESP is the only plan worth buying.
