Logan was kind enough to give me the space needed to host these videos. Thank you Logan for this. I hope they were worth the wait. Some of them are big files so I hope you cable modems.

Very cool.
Keep it in mind though that the GT is a road racing car and not meant to be a straight line drag car.
Very good show and I didn't have to buy the tires!

Quote the whole thing next time.
I have not seen the road course contest yet!
You know exactly what I mean.
Beating or even pulling roughly even in the Q with a $32,000 car with $10,000 in mods against a $150,000 supercar product is quite a feat in itself.
I was pointing out the fact that there are several types of racing.
I would like to see this contest with some of the best MM suspension mods on a Trilogy car on a road course too.
Or were you just looking for an arguement?

I downloaded some of the vids (the files are huge); but am having trouble running them. Anybody else getting format or codec notices??

I am too. I can't run the videos. I assume the Marauders did well but no one has actually said what the race results were.

I, too, am getting the codec notices on the laptop here at work. I have not tried any of them on the home computer yet.

Race results were listed in the other thread >>> Marauder vs. Ford GT (http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/showthread.php?t=21966)
You gotta go to around post #92 for the beginning of the results info. MI2QWK4U posted his timeslip in one of the later responses as well.

They work fine for me. The one that matters the most for our own PR is Dave's run (I mean Mike beat the GT too but someone on the outside is just going to say the GT let up so it doesn't count, although we all know the real truth).
Having these means a lot - thanks.

I can view the videos. In both Dave and Mike's races in which they won, the GT looks like it got them off the line, but the MMs caught it and pulled in front. I'm still downloading the one where Mike smoked the tires off the line, and Hack getting his butt handed to him. (J/K Hack!)

Well, I downloaded MediaPlayer 10 from the windows website and have upgraded to that, but still getting the codec errors. The file on the server shows and extension of .mpg, but Windows downloads it with a .mpeg extension. Could this be the problem or is that just a Windows conversion for the file? Other .mpeg files play just fine.

I was able to see Hack lose, but the other videos are not coming through. The windows media player just says "connected" .

For those having trouble viewing --
Download the quicktime player from Apple and play it through their player - it's been more reliable than Windows Media.
Hopefully that will work.

Right-click on the link and do a "Save As" to your desktop. Once it gets copied over, run it from there. With the current load on the server (everybody downloading), it will never be able to do a live stream directly from the server.

Is there something that needs to be done to the file to make available to Quicktime? I have downloaded and they do show as .mpeg files, but QuickTime is not recognizing them. Would changing the file extension to .mov work or something else to get QuickTime to work with the files?

This one I really can't answer. I know my machine at home has issues with media player so I opt for quicktime and it opens things that MP won't - even some mpgs

Maybe I should stop worrying about it on the work computer and wait until I get home tonight and see what happens on the work machine.

Hey everyone that can't view the videos:
Try VLC media player:
http://www.videolan.org/vlc/
There is a Mac/Windows version available. I've been using this for almost a year now. It'll play videos that MP or QT won't. That's what I used to view these ones.

No problems copying or viewing. It's great watching a $160,000.00+ super car getting absolutely stomped by a $44,000.00 family sedan. Priceless. Many thanks to all that made it happen....

Thanks for your great work bigslim. I wonder if we could get BillyGman to do some audio/video magic for the DVD? I'd be willing to pay for one if it was something I could pop in for entertaining friends & family. My brother has never looked at my MM the same since he saw the burn out vid. :D

I would be up for something like this. If he could take all these clips, maybe find some good stills of something like the individual Marauders and GT to stick in there and add some great music just like his burnout video, I would buy it. Maybe put it up for proceeds to go to the site here or something?
And speaking of which, what ever happened to the Trilogy Burnout video from all the submissions that were put in?
