Just got off the phone with Mike Papazian thats a R/D guy for Energy Suspension about a polyurethane bushing kit for our Marauders. I guess for some reason there's not a large interest for making a kit for Marauders but they will be bringing in an 03 Vic P/I to make a kit for it.
What do you all think?
Oh, by the way it sounds lie the Vic kits will be ready some time at the beginning of the year.
I can leave you all his # so we can speed this up and he can make them for Marauders as there's a few of very close to loan a car get the design work done, and whoever the ginny pig car is they get the first kit free........I'll loan him mine but he needs some more bugging about it!

Will there be that much difference between an '03 CVPI kit and one for a Marauder?

If you measure the diamter of the stock sway bars, you can buy them separately right off the shelf along with the rear endlinks. As for the rest of the suspension, I'll be interested in seeing what they offer.

A few years ago, i had one of my Mustang done with their bushings on just about all bushings found front and rear. It was quite an improvement and the car felt very tight, very race car tight with the 700 pounds springs front and 425 rears that i had put. A real canyon carver.
It would be nice to have it available for the MM, especially the big front articulated tables holding the springs.

If a few calls go into this I can find out how they work out. From what I remember with other cars before it's a big improvement. Call up, I'll take one for the team! Who wants the number? Well, before any calls, the 03 CVs and up have the same frame as we do...right?
here's the # anyway: 949-361-3935

The Addco sway bars include poly bushings so sorry, I don't need any more.

The bushings on the front OE bar are glued/bonded to the bar. They are not easy to get off completely. So, its not a simple swap. Also, since the bushing would no longer be bonded, you may see a degredation in handling. Specifically, you may lose some on-center feel.

Those are points I would bring up to them. Now that i know that is, anything else?

Those are points I would bring up to them. Now that i know that is, anything else?Well,
They will probably look to get the bigger potential market. Selling them the world known interchange capacity in Fords products would be nice. Probably that a majority of the bushings they will work on would also fit Crown vic and Grand Marquis. The Panther plateform doesn't change much over the years and should be there for a while.
Big cars with big weight mean big roll. A bushing set will do wonders for a very small amount of money. IMO, they should be interested to put that to market fast.
Good luck for your efforts. That will benefit the collective and we might even call our next son Dan !!:)

This thread is 4 years old. Did Energy Suspension ever make this kit. Does anyone make a bushing kit for our cars? Ive searched high and low and all i can find is up to 02'. I understand there were some chassis changes in 03' but i find it hard to belive there is no such kit.

I think it would be tough to go poly on the lower front control arms. The caster/camber adjustments, especially on a lowered car, require a lot of flex in rear lower bushing. The upper bushings appear unchanged fro 02 but I can't confirm this. The rears can go poly easily. All you need to do is buy the Metcos and you get the bushings free!

The problem I had was that there are no bushings available for the control arms, I was going to make my own control arms, and couldn't find anything close.

You have to use DOM tubing for the bushing case. The bushings are all designed to fit standard DOM tube sizes. Stuffs expensive though. $25 a foot if you can even find someone to sell you a foot of it.

I started reading the thread not realizing it was from a while back. I was scared for a second. I was worried you all might be able to out mod me!
And yes the poly bushings for the control arms (i have front and rear) are awesome!!!

I thought the OEM bars on the Marauder were larger than the other Panthers in 03/04?
