I am thrilled to report the incredible job Lidio did yesterday with my new race fuel tune! I picked up an additional 35 RWHP and 18.7 RWT, (see my updated signature below)! Not only that but, as usual, the brilliance of Lidio manifested itself once again as he makes it super-easy to switch tune programs, (from 93 octance to 100 and back) with just a flip of a switch. :coolman: It can't get any easier than that! :D I won't give away Lidio's tuning secrets with too much detail, but I can tell you all that it is well worth the trip and the money. I drove all the way home to the west side of Mi. on the race tune and I can tell you it rocks!
So do you Lidio. Thanks man for a great job.
It was great seeing Paul and Dan there! Thanks guys for coming out. :)
Paul brought me up to speed on his latest mods and told me stories about MVIII that I unfortunately missed. I would have liked to have been in that huge Marauder convoy headed to Milan! :D
Then, later at Capers, (home of the best steak I've ever eaten) Dan was a riot. Dan, I had no idea you are such a movie buff! That was fun.
All in all, it was a vacation day very well spent. I just wish I could do it more often.
Thanks again to Paul and Dan, and a special thanks to Lidio whose innovative ideas always keep me coming back for more!
I'm headed to the local track at Martin on Sat. 29th to run with the new tune. My goal is to make 12.5 ET or better. I can't wait.
I'll post my results when I get home.

I'm glad to hear that the new race fuel tune worked out for you! Like I say, once you've tasted the spice its hard to go back:D
Sorry I couldn't meet up with you this time with work and all, but I'm sure we'll catch up again next time.
Enjoy the new tune, and new power!

You should have no problems reaching 12.5 with what you are pushing out now. Sorry I missed you but between work, school and the girlfriend time is limited. Too bad you can't come back for the SVT lunch this Monday.

Hey Slim. Thanks for the vote of confidence. Yeah, sounds like you're as busy as I am these days. Unfortunately I won't be able to make the SVT lunch since my vacation ends Monday and it's back to work. Sunday will be my last night to get crazy and I'll be stopping in Lansing to pick up a buddy to bring along to Woody's/Capers. We'll be hitting some party spots after Capers if anyone is interested. :D
Looking forward to seeing you on Sunday! :)

I just got back from the track and am absolutely thrilled to report that it is indeed possible to run in the low 12's with stock gears.
As soon as I figure out whats going on with the timeslip page, (and updating my vehicle profile, which isn't working either) I'll post my timeslip and all the data.
In the meantime, I'll type it out for you all below, and I've added my timeslip to my personal Comcast website, (which isn't limited to 100k uploads... thankfully).
Here is the link to my personal site, (nevermind the football stuff... go to the bottom of page): http://home.comcast.net/~daveandpam1/players2.htm
Before I type all my timeslip data, I'd like to say that this best run was completed with race fuel and a race fuel tune. And... before the anti-race fuel members begin with comments I'd like to say that I now truly believe that the race fuel tune is a solid and cost-efficient alternative to those seeking faster ET's without going to lower gears. I know I didn't want to go to 4:10s... (at least this year)!
Having said all that, here is my timeslip data:
Reaction: 1.0350 (I had much better on other runs... )
60 ft. 1.8209
330 ft. 5.1469
594 ft. 7.3921
1/8 ET 7.8899
1/8 MPH 90.40
1000' ET 10.2610
1000' MPH 102.50
1/4 ET 12.2808
1/4 MPH 111.72
Man I love this car! People were walking up to take pictures of the car after seeing it run... it was great.
Thanks Lidio! Come to Woody's/Capers Sunday night! :)

Nice job Dave! Thats an awesome run! Congrats. Did you get the SCT Multi position switch chip? I have one as well...and I love it. It's very easy just flipping the switch...and even though I'm N/A...I can certianly feel a seat of the pants difference between my 93 tune, and my 100 tune. What octane is your tune for?

Hey Matt, I'm not sure if it's the SCT switch chip, (I'll ask Lidio) but yeah, just flip the switch! A DEFINITE seat of the pants difference! :)
I'm tuned for 93 and 100.
When are you coming up to the Motor City??
