Beautiful day here in Arizona....
Got my tunes in from Lidio with the JLT & 4.10s figured in. So I loaded it in and went out to check the speedo against the wife's Miata etc. Everything was kosher so after we turned around I decided to get it from a standstill.

Now the last time I'd done a stomp the pedal from a standstill I did a light squeal and was gone. (the 295/18s didn't spin much at all)

Well.. after reading about "flashing" the convertor here on the net.... I tried that from a standstill.....

We went up in SMOKE :banana2: Walked a little bit to the left... laid down some HEAVY rubber for the first 20 feet.... and hazed 'em for another 40 feet or more... I was backpeddaling on the gas after the first 20 feet. Wife was behind me in the Miata... called me on the cell phone and asked me ... "WTF was THAT?"

Being the man of the house... recognizing the challenge to my authority from the sound of her voice... quickly shot back....

"It is all Jerry's fault. He and Donna convinced me to put this THING on top of my motor... and now look what happens ! " :rolleyes:

Those same bad people made me buy widened wheels, Nitto 555R's, Baer brakes, polished aluminum coil covers, that funny thing that bolted to the top of my engine, and probably some other stuff they have not even thought of yet.... or have they?:D

Those self same BAD PEOPLE have me pinned down and are forcing the JJ punch into my veins. They really want me to do those BAD THINGS to my car. I am powerless to fight back and BAD THINGS are about to happen to my checkbook. The really BAD THING is that I am going to love it. Sucks we never got a chance to get together with anyone. Jerry and I were both hurtin pretty bad by the end of the day yesterday...

I was within a couple feet of let's see... Carroll Shelby, Sammy Hagar, Chip Foose, Troy Trepanier, met up with the Unique performance crew again, and countless Ford and industry guys... It's was a great trip.

But, I'm so completely exhausted it ain't funny...

" :rolleyes:LOL....U wussed out! :baaa: U should've said.."That was just me and my car bonding"....;) BTW, you should've stayed on the go pedal in first gear like I sometimes do, and by the time you finished second gear, that 60 foot shot would've been 100 foot long instead.(especially when the temperatures are in the 50's and 60's) :D Congratulations on your new power.....it's great , isn't it?
