My wife works for a local dealership that rented the Bradenton Track for a private, closed-to-the-public test-n-tune on Friday, Oct. 28th. I, Carfixer, and Shakes_26 were able to wrangle invitations to this exclusive event.
It ran from 6PM till 11PM and was limited to an attendance of 50 cars. My buddy Gordon [who set the whole thing up] grilled us dinner and a great time was had by all. The Marauders were quite a sight to see amongst the Porches and Audis that dominated the event. We even had some Corvettes and a Supercharged Roush Mustang show up.
Anyway, after a 13.0 and a 13.1 run, I finally did it! 12.979 ET @ 106.13 MPH!!! Now, while this may not seem like a big deal to some of my much faster brethren, It was a very big deal to me. Here's why:
This was achieved with nothing more than a "stock" Trilogy kit and a K&N.
OEM KDWS tires inflated to 35LBS.
No "smaller pulley" for more boost.
No nitrous.
I did not pull my headlight out.
I did not buy/use race gas.
1/2 tank of fuel in the car.
No "flipping a chip"
No "custom" dyno-tune.
No exhaust, trans or gear mods.
No "icing the car down", no drag radials, no lowering of tire pressures.
No tricks, no smoke, no mirrors.
I drove the car. Just as it came in off the street.
I am very proud of this one, boys. I do not know anyone else with just a blower [and/or a K&N/JLT, depending on if you are roots or centrifugal] who has done this on OEM tires.
In other news, Carfixer, left with a fistful of 12.6X timeslips, including a new personal best of 12.64 seconds!
Shakes_26, using a stock Trilogy kit and tune [no race gas here], exhaust by Grand Mufflers, a K&N, drag radials, and a 3000 stall converter pulled a 12.47 @107.9!!!
All-in-all, one hell of a night!

This was the best time (and time slip) I've ever had at the track as well.
I feel my car will do even better, if I can heat the Nittos better, and manage not to spin on launch. How the hell Chuck manages this on the OEM BFG's is freakin' beyond me.
Glad Wilma knocked my power out this week or I would have missed this excitement!

BTW, no one discounts the feat, regardless of the times ayone else has run. I know that the day I broke into the 12s was simply incredible! Ask Jerry about how silly I looked at Norwalk jumping up and down for an hour:D LOL...and that took the 3.2 pulley and exhaust work!

Thanks Mike, I was pretty excited to run a 12.4 with 3.55 gears, 9psi boost, 3k converter, full exhaust, on 93 octane. I feel we could get another tenth maybe more out of the car as it is.
Tallboy and I found an exhaust leak the next morning, I thought I had been hearing it, in fact the drivers collector flange to cat pipe has loosened. So, maybe it will run even better now.

Well, folks, it's that time again. Yep. You guessed it. Private Track Night! :) My friends at Suncoast Motorsports have stepped up to the pump once again, and have rented the Bradenton Motorsports Park for a private, closed-to-the public test-n-tune. The date is Friday, April 21st, from 6-11PM. Fully staffed track. We will provide Hamburgers, Hot-Dogs, and cold drinks free to all who attend. The cost will be $40.00 per car.
As you might guess, this is quickly becoming a very popular thing here, amongst those of us "in-the-know". Last time, space was quite limited, and I was lucky to get myself and a couple friends in. But, this time, I've got more pull, and I'm sharing this one with my Marauder buddies. The only "catch" is this: There's a list [for obvious reasons] of those who will be granted admission. How do you get on it? Easy. Reply here or PM me, and I'll hook you up.
And, speaking of stepping up to the pump, guess who the co-sponsor is? Yep-Trilogy Motorsports!!!. Jerry Barnes and I were discussing this while he was here last month, and he thought it was a great idea. So great, in fact, that he wrote me a check on the spot to co-sponsor the event! His only condition was "I want everyone to be included, not just my customers." Jerry decided he would personally cover the fees for his customers. What does this mean? It means if you're a Trilogy customer, and you are on the list and show up to race with us, you will race, eat, and drink all night for free! Jerry has already paid your entry fee. All others are welcome to attend, but the $40 fee will apply.
So if you want to run, dial in a new mod, or just drag race without the whole world watching, now's your chance. I have done a lot of work on this, [we've been planning this since January] and wanted to share it with the community.

Wow, that's super news! Some excellent times and a strong showing for stock Trilogy's!!!
Along the same lines, I hit a 13.2 a month or so ago, my second run with the Trilogy. First run (same day) was a 13.4.
I am very close to stock, I have the JLT intake and 4.10 gears (which make launching on stock tires a bit difficult...) I've got stock pulley and stock Trilogy tune.
But other than that, I have my original KDWS tires, they're about through their usable life. I did this with stock tire pressure, and about 150 lbs of junk in my trunk.
I'm hoping to join you in the 12's with a stock Trilogy (3.4 pulley, stock tune) soon.
Congrats and thanks for more indications that it's only a good holeshot away!
Hopefully I'll get some good track prep next time I try, I think it's the only way I even got the 13.2, who knows, a third run that day might have done it but I was going easy as it was my first runs with the blower.
Fun stuff! Wish I could make your track meet, sounds like a blast, maybe I need to move to Florida. :)
