IMHO... FORD Racing is the only way to go. Had mine installed about 16,000 miles ago, didn't need to reshim anyhting and quiet as stock.

I have my Motive gears right here. I bought them because they are suppose to be just the same or better than the ford gears. Some of us might be biased because they never tried Motive or Moser gear set.
Not sure my self about the Moser gears, but what are the pros and cons between both sets that you are looking at??

I've heard good things about both Moser and Motive, but I'm looking for more opinions if any of you have experience. Ford Racing is out of the question, I'd also rather not talk about it. But Motive or Moser? Other brand??

But Motive or Moser? Other brand??I'll go out on a limb and say Motive because you can get the gears and an install kit with everything but bearings for a great deal. Send me a PM and I'll tell who I found has the better deal.

Another vote for Ford Racing. I know it doesn't matter to you. But, you can find them pretty cheap if you look at the right spots.

I do, I'm sick of the noise...40 MPH...50 MPH...all the way to 80. Some of you may think I'm wrong for using the same installer, but hey, it's my car - All I'm doing here is asking which brand do you think is best. There was a thread IIRC that I created where quite a few people were having problems with the cut of Ford Racing Gears, then the naysayers came in saying "No..No...it must be your installer." I'm rather sick of it, I spent 12 hours detailing an Excursion so I could get enough coin for another gear install, now I need to get the money for the gears.

I've read about noise issues with both Motive and Moser. Its a crap shoot any way.

Ive honestly never heard anything but good about Ford Racing. I also heard that in most cases, if you use a Ford racing gear, it will not void your warranty. That may not be true, but I recall a thread saying so. Carfixer or RoyLPita are good people to answer this one. Another thing is that I have heard no complaints (besides you) about Ford Racing gears. It just may be your installer, but I am no expert. Ive seen alot of ads for "Richmond" gears in my Mustang magazines...dont know if they are any good, but the price is competitive. I know I didnt answer your initial question, but I hope it was worth some insight. Good luck with whatever path you take.
