I finally had my Metco control arms and Watts links installed last week. From the time I graduated from the University of Malta, IL (Kiskwaukee College)  I have kept in close contact with my instructors that I had when I was in school.
With that being said I was talking to my buddy Mike earlier last week and he told me that he needed a car to do a class demonstration on for suspension & drivetrains. With my back still healing from surgery last month I took advantage of the opportunity. I purchased my control arms and linkage last winter but was never able to install them because of my back injury. I brought my control arms and watts link to the college and Mike installed them for me as he was demonstrating the install to the class.
My first impression of the new gear was to say the least very impressive. With the combination of the Addco front & rear sway bars and now the Metco products this car handles unbelivebly. I will say though that the ride is somewhat more jarring but not unmanagable nor untollerable.
I drove the MM up to Milwaukee over the weekend and was entering on the freeway ramps at twice the posted limits without even so much as a squeek from the tires. The MM remains flat and very driveable through the curves. Anyone considering these mods I highly recommend them. Save your pennies and you will be happy that you did. Now if we could only come up with an invention to keep the left lane hogs out of the way while driving down the interstate, we'll be rich.

Did you take 12 to 43?

No, on the way up I had to go to Mundelein first so I took Midlothian Rd. to Peterson Rd. to Milwuakee Ave. to 294. Then I took 294/94 into Milwaukee. But on the way back I took 43 to 12 over to 50 in Lake Geneva and then home. :banana2:

It's been my experience that most people can't move over fast enough when my MM pulls in behind them.....

I wish that were true up here. Between the Illinois and Wisconsin drivers, I don't know which are more rude. My dad always said when I was growing up that Wisconsin had the worst drivers, and he grew up in WI, but I think Illinois can run neck and neck with the cheese heads. Most of the time it is some a-hole with a cell phone shoved up his ear and then he/she, mostly females in Expiditions or Suburbans, look at you in their rearview mirror as if to say that I am bothering them moving up on them so quickly and who do I think I am for doing so.

Please qualify which part of the state! Up Nort where I grew up, there were no 4 lane roads, unless you count US 51 which ended in Wausau, then nothing but two lanes and pine trees YA HAY!:D

Funny you should mention Wausau. He grew up in Mosinee just east of 51, now known as I-39.

I was also in Milwaukee this weekend.
I followed two SUVs and a minivan who paced each other most of the way from Madison to Brookfield where I was going. It took over 30 miles for me to get around them because they deliberately kept everyone else behind them.
My friend and I both agreed we had never before seen people so rude. I pride myself on not being a hothead when it comes to driving, but more than once I glanced at the emergency lane and made some calculations.
WI wins for rudeness. At least in IL they blow by you and are not usually in your way in the wrong lane going exactly the speed limit.
I still think IA wins for stupidity, though.

Having lived in Iowa almost all of my life, I would have to agree with this. I see some absolutely stupid drivers anywhere I go. It is very frustrating.
but even worse than that can be the drivers from other states going through Iowa. Usually Minnesota and Nebraska drivers. It must be something in the air here in Iowa that causes them to become stupid, too.

HA! You think that's bad, you should see the way they drive in Maryland And VA? don't even ask.
I'd feel bad about hyjacking your thread, but you did it to yourself.
Anyway, that's cool about the control arms & such, especially that you got 'em installed free.

Ah, the lovely smell of Mosinee. Nothing like playing a hockey game in the outdoor rink and smelling the fine odor of pulp!

  I remeber as a child commenting on how foul the odor was from the papermill as we exited 51/I-39 onto 153.My grandmother would get so mad at me for telling her that it stunk there. I wonder if that papermill is still around. I do not see many Mosinee paper products as I did in years past.

We were right next door to each other. I was in New Berlin. Did you get off at exit 57, Moorland Rd.?

This is a wonderful thread. :)
It reminds me of the game we played in school. We'd get in a circle and the first kid would whisper into the ear of the second, "vanella pudding", then on to the next.
By the time the last one got the message, it would come out "Metco Control Arms".

I thought Moorland was exit 310 from I-94. But yes, I stayed at the Sheraton there.
