For those of you w/ the K&N setup, I was wondering if there is a PVC hose
connection from the valve cover to the back of the K&N Zip tube. (I think
its called a PVC?) I just wanted to get one of the kits thats been on
ebay, but I have herd bad things about breathers on the valve covers,
replacing the PCV hose. Thanks for any help.
Best,
Mike

The K&N has a breather tube in the kit..
and the stock tube will still fit..I like the kit..
Great kit noticeable difference in power ..
and does not screw up PCV system..
Easy to install just don't rush it...
the rubber around the heat sheild is
awkward to work with..overall
very happy with the results...
No problems with warranty...

Great to know, thank you. Just did not want to use breather on
valve covers due to vaccum affect. Thank you for the reply.

No problems with warranty...To make the stock PCV tube fit on to the K&N intake tube you have to take an adaptor piece out of the top of it that worked on the OEM air intake. It just pulls out... the stock PCV tube just makes it as far as the fit goes but there arent any kinks in it where the one supplied from K&N would kink up.

I still have the stock tube on..
with no modifications..The one that came
with the kit is still in the box...
as long as it is connected doesn't matter
which tube is used...

So the stock PVC hose will not work?Yeah it will as long as you pull out the original adaptor that connected it to the original intake tube. I think the stocker is better anyway because the one K&N supplies kinks up.. (I should have been more clear in my first response)

You need to cut it to the proper size, it needs to be trimmed or else it will kink up.

I have a question to the K&N owners I recently installed mine and heard a horrible clicking/clacking sound when I started it up on the cold motor when it warmed up I couldnt hear it anymore. So I put the stock box back on and it was fine. I then pu the k&n back on but this time I didnt install the support bracket. No clicking/clacking. How necessary is that support bracket?

The only extra noise should be the WHoosH
when you step on the accelerator..I would
recommend having the support installed..
the extra movement can cause the hoses to come
apart and the filter end Ie Sheild to rub against other
important car parts IE the underside of the Hood...
something probably is not in the right location..
check the instructions again..
