Any one else not have this bolt installed into the bell housing? Been this was ever sense I bought the car new and I just noticed it again and figured I'd ask.
Its fine how it is.
That piece of metal is the seperator plate for the engine and trans so the 2 dont corrode together.
No Marauder has a bolt there, but you can add one if it makes you feel better.

Inspection cover bolt..not critical..probably removed
when the trans was serviced and not replaced..mine is still
there..

Every Crown Vic I have had was missing the same bolt....you can add one if you wish but it only makes about 2 RWHP...really not worth the effort!!! :argue:

Mine is missing, too. I thought that I would pitch a fit after having my tranny o/h'd. I guess I'll leave it be.

Went and checked! ZACK is right those bolts were never
installed..the bolt i was thinking of was the lower one..
My trans will be serviced when it comes out of storage
so it can't have been removed..
