Check out the newest addition to the garage. Had to take an angle shot to avoid flash glare on the shiny surface. Click dat der pic.

I bought it from this fellow on eBay.

It's pretty heavy material. Kind of a plasticized canvas with metal grommets on each corner and top/bottom middle. About 3 x 5 foot. Definitely made for outdoor use.

My dealer has a framed MM advertising photo up in his showroom. While we were cooling our heels for paperwork on the new Aviator, I put a LOT of pressure on the sailsman to sell it to me.

What? I said, you have a customer sitting here waiting for permission from Ford to buy a $50K vehicle and you can't sell me that old, out of date, advertising print?

You're just gonna throw it away, anyway. Besides, who just told you about the new Pro-Guard skid plate(s) you're gonna make a killing on?

I even went back up with the MM and showed 'em the ProGuard and we put it up on the lift for everyone to see. Still ....nope, no sale.

I'm afraid that sentiment is not in the make up of those who become car dealers. You need to talk in the language they have come to understand as the only operative motivation in their world. Cash. Forget him, go to Ebay and invest $34.00. Oh, and CANCEL the 50K deal. Find another dealer. Never love a car other than your own. They make and sell about 16 million of them a year in this country and the dealer needs you to want HIS car more than its worth to make his nut. Show him you can count both sides of the ledger.
