I had a great time at the SSHS5 today! Many more MMs showed up then last year as well as a bunch of Lincoln Marks and LSCs. Perhaps the Atlanta Raceway would be a good location for next year's MM Meet combined with the SSHS6? Marty's MM Bull snorted real good and pulled an awesome 11.08 with only a 50 HP shot of No2. The world's fastest Mercury Marauder. Many others did very well including Brian w/his new S/C (nice job), the group from FL ("Marauder Racing Team"), etc. Also, it was great to see Brian, Tom, Willie, Smokie, John, Donny, Paul, Kathy, Todd, Marty and the others.

I finally reach my goal of 1 1/2 years of breaking into the "13 Second Club" on the Timeslip Board with my modest MM mods. There are now only 4 members running N/A 13s. I ran 10 times with a best of 14.003 and then after everything was over late in the afternoon I snuck in the last "Test 'n Tune" run of the day against myself. I hit the 295 Nittos hard after reducing the psi to 20# and got them real hot. The track was in good shape and the car hooked good. (The 13.985 was without any 100+ gas tune just N/A). Several small things that I believed helped that I gathered from the MM net and drivers were:

Launched at 2,000 with the PC 3000 TC - seems to be the right rpm w/4:10s (thanks Brian).
Roasted the 295 Nittos - a must do to hook really good. Used 20/22# psi. Metco control arms plant the rear hard.
Removed the left H/L (thanks Barry).
50 PSI in the front tires
Folded in the side mirrors
Most important - this engines loves cool air!!
and the UDPs, SCT Tune, JTL intake, Denso plugs, 180 Stat, Cobra Headers and X-pipe to stock mufflers and tail pipes (Todd's Grand Muffler), etc. (Special thanks to Scott of Team Ford who did all my mods - great job!)Glenn :burnout: :burn: :burnout:

Congratulations Glenn, I do know how important and significant you accomplishment is. No matter how fast our big cars get, I always respect reaching a goal on modest mods and a lot of hard work.
