What size rear end do I have? The CAR man, the CAR!! is it 8.8"?

anyone have a ford motorspot part number for the 4.10? also, do you need a new speedo gear

No on the speedo. Either a "re-flash" of your ECM or the highly recommended Chip from Dennis which will be programed for the gear change and correct the speedo.
