I want to put a blower on the marauder come 100,000 miles and many of you had said this was a bad idea for how used the car is. Here is what I have come across: I ran into someone a year ago with a Marauder that has everything possible on it. It was shipped down to flordia and had a blower, headers, gears, pistons exc, everything. He best ran an 11.97 without slicks! and said this car is slow and I hate it. He wanted to take out the engine and put a V10 in. I was thinking of trading him my car for his. He is asking 30K and my car is probably worth less then 18 because of the miles and the 2 accidents. (yes it was fixed) I still wanna put on a blower on my own car, but if I got this one that had everything possible on it is that the better vaule or is it not practical because I would like to keep it my daily driver. Oh the one things it doesn't have is spray. So what should I do guys? I'm going to hit 88,000 miles this weekend. If I were to get this other car it would be in spring. It has 8,000 miles and about 5,000 in the new motor. (The overhauled one)

I live in Florida and race in Florida, 11.96 Marauder's are very rare, who is this person?

If it has a Vortech Water to Air nevermind, I know who it belongs to.

16K and your MM sounds fair, but you're going to miss out on a lot of fun building your own.

You can have my Marauder for 20K and your MM...

Just a thought, Lidio is selling his Marauder...one of 6 or 7 11 second Marauders that we are aware of....

I think he is asking $28,000 or $29,000. Very clean. Built motor, Build trans, and nitrous. If I had Martys coin, I would buy it and paint it Blue!

Yes it's from vortech. I would like to build one thats kinda why I don't wanna buy it, but it would save money and plus it's like a brand new car. The guy who owns it isn't a member on here

So what should I do guys?

Save your money for new, or forged internals, and a blower.

Given his car is all that good with all that go fast goodies--your car is worth about 14K ---so if you could get that or 15 K for it -great --than find a way to get 15K cash --and then buy his--His asking price is good--but only if it has all that good stuff with that low mileage you say it has--so yes --I think it is a good deal then---My 2 cents--Tom

yea the car runs great. The guy let me makes probably over 20 runs with it. I would rather build my car, but for value, money and time the other car seems like the better deal. Especially the mileage.

I was in your situation, could of bought a stock and built myself, found a deal on a low miles built motor blower pretty much same boat you are looking at. Decided I'd save money by buying the pre-built... 4 days later the motor died and that was 5 or so months ago... still don't have my car back, and I'm footing the bill for the re build. So there is potential for bad things too, just my info since I went through the same dilema before I bought. :)

My $.02 is if you have the cash, buy a beater for your daily driver and blow your MM. Once the engine goes, rebuilt it. You'll get some mileage out of your engine if it was well taken care of. There was one guy on corral.net that put on a blower at 100k. It was still running at 120k if I remember correctly. If you get the beater, it won't matter much when the engine goes.

The Marauder will always be my daily driver. I don't wanna buy a 3rd car as weird as it seems. I got till spring to decide, but I'm sure theres a way to run high 11s w/o spray. Or spending $20,000

Most Marauders with 100,000 miles sell for $12k-$14k max around here.

Personally, I think used car values in S.E. MI is a bit lower than the rest of the country. I don't have any data to support my claim. But, the percentage of people who have some sort of family or friend discount is higher here than elsewhere since a lot of people work in the auto industry. Therefore, new car values essentially start lower which mean used car values end up lower. Second, I've been told more people lease vehicles here than buy them than elsewhere. That means more people are less interested in used vehicles here. I tried to sell a near mint 96 Bronco in 99 with 36000 miles on it. Blue book was $22k-$24k. The best offer I could get was $18k. I sold it after 3 months for $17500.
