That thing looks real NICE!!!!! I bet that thing is gonna be churning out some very nice torque #'s!!!!! Look at the height of that intake manifold!! I sure wish that we can fit that in our Marauders. but I know that isn't happening. Good luck with it. Assuming that truck has the R100 transmission in it, I'm sure that the stock transmission will be up to the task, but what about the rear end? Does it have a 8.8" rear? Maybe it's time for an axle upgrade too. That is, unless the truck already has the 31 spline axles from the factory.

Billy from what I have seen in F-150's is that the 5.4's come with the Sterling 9.75" rear end.

Ford may have canned the Lightning, but you can still force-feed fullsize Ford trucks. Roush has stepped up to produce a Roots-style blower for 5.4L three-valve '04-'05 F-150s. The 50-state-legal kit includes the blower, lower intake, and it's good for an additional 112 hp and 137 lb-ft of torque.
This is in the Hot Rod Magazine for January '06, the web site is: www.roushparts.com
Would like to know how this blower stacks up with yours, why isn't there an article on the Trilogy blower for the F-150, since it's already on the streets ? Do the numbers add up to the same on both blowers ?Thanks

Trying to recall the conversation I had with the Roush guys in August...
Trilogy runs a higher boost level than Roush.
Trilogy is intercooled-Roush is not.
Trilogy operates in 4X4 mode, Roush does not.
Trilogy is capable of speeds in excess of 100MPH, Roush is speed limited to 99MPH.
I could be wrong on some of this, but I think I'm remembering correctly...

...and I've yet to see a dyno sheet showing anywhere near their claimed gains for their non-intercooled S/C running only 6psi boost...

I think you pretty much summed it up. The Roush kit can't hold a candle to the Trilogy set up.
The bottom line is that Roush went the easy route and built a kit without an intercooler. Huge mistake :shake: That means boost and timing (and associated power output) are limited. In addition, I wouldn't be caught dead trying to tow anything with a non intercooled set up. Roush blew this one if you ask me. I wouldn't even consider a non intercooled roots kit. That's plain sloppy engineering:down:

Actually, Roush supposedly just released their Intercooled kit for the F150...

Well, Roush has a pretty large Marketing and PR Department, unfortunately we do not. And they are a huge Racing company with lots of connections, we don't have big connections. I am trying to submit press releases in December. That means they will show up in magazines around March-May which is the timing I am hoping for. And I would like the Mustang kit to also be featured in the same articles. I am a little rusty in the Marketing and PR Dept., it should start appearing in magazines within the next couple of months. I want to take care of the initial customers and make sure everything is working well for them before I start tooting my horn.
Thanks

Jerry (or Lidio, or Logan),
What kind of RWHP numbers is the F150 3V kit putting out? And I assume the kit would work on the Mark LT, too, right?
Just curious as we are considering one or the other for the wife's next vehicle and will also be a tow vehicle and want a little extra power for pulling.

It does. Thanks for the info. I think that should be more then enough to pull the boat we are looking at. Guess I will need to get the MM supercharged first to make sure we "like" the power it makes, then get the wife the truck and go from there... ;)
