Well let me be the first to say that I had a great time meeting all of you for the first time. Defyant was giving rides in his S/Ced MM and Im glad I resisted taking the ride because I have been known as "Mr Spontainious Purchase Guy" and from the reactions of a few of the passengers, I know I would have been $6000 lighter in my bank account by next Friday if I gave in!
Everyone was Very down to earth and Friendly, The Lunch was Great, The Company was better and Ill definitly be attending the next meet.

thanks to all who came. it was nice seeing everyone again and to meet new people, also thanks for not rubbing in to much for purchasing a gto. everyone in my house saw me walk in with a smile. WOW! my first ride in a supercharged marauder. it should have come out of the factory that way. thanks

Sorry I wasn't there guys, actually, if I had known street wars was going to be the way it was, I probably would not have gone. They let 500 cars in the gates, 450 ricers and 50 domestics. IT WAS A ZOO. The ricers were rude and abnoxious, every 2nd car down the track was blowing up and they had to shut the track down to clean it, it was just all and all a bust. Good news though, I have the fastest time slip for any Marauder...EVER. .926 in the 1320, beat that guys. LOL, a leaf blew across my beam for the first run, but that won't stop me from bragging. Are we still meeting at hooters in LI in january for the anniversary or are we not doing that now because you guys met there yesterday?

The meet in East Meadow was fun, as usual. I think I counted 12 Marauders, all silver or black, plus a former Marauder owner and a current Marauderer driving one of his other cool Ford products. Met a couple of members for the first time and also a couple of soon-to-be MM.net members. Very nice to meet you, and welcome aboard!

Marauders like to travel on a beautiful day, as evidenced by cars driven in from Maryland, Pennsylvania, Orange County, Westchester and the boroughs (and, of course, L.I.). All the cars were truly looking great.

For dessert, I was one of the lucky ones to experience a thrill-ride in the Defyant-mobile (also my first in a SC'd MM). Thanks for the grin producer!

Hope we can get a meet together before Xmas. Maybe Orange County in a month or so?

P.S. to Marauder Danny: When you said it was "great seeing all the old faces," you didn't mean that literally, right? :thinker:

Weeding out the bad apples. :P  There will be less next time around.

Don't blame the messenger. The LIE was also a parking lot so you didn't miss out.

I don't know what it was...everything was backed up.

Danny the people in other parts of the USA just don't know what traffic is untill they come to New York City or Long Island:P

I really enjoy getting together with the New York crew but not in Long Island:rolleyes:

And I do not blame you bucause I asked! Thanks again:cool:

You guys should have see the traffic on the SSPkwy, the Belt and Deleware Tpk! It took me almost 6 hrs to make a 3.5-4 hrs trip home to Md yesterday!

Guess that made up for the most excellent ride to NY.

It took me almost 6 hrs to make a 3.5-4 hrs trip home to Md yesterday!I used to live in East Meadow from '78-'80 and made the trip to Baltimore quite frequently. The Southern State and the Belt Parkway were always pretty full; but at least they moved fairly well back then. I imagine that the increased traffic volume, cell phone usage, and left lane hogs have really screwed up these roads.

As for the Delaware section .... that has always been a mess ...

What is sooooooooooo great about the belt parkway is the fact that there is a storm drain every 100 yards in the LEFT lane? Talk about a way to slow down traffic:rofl:

At least they had the grills on them this time. I saw one open once....luckily I spotted it from the middle lane...lol.
