8 days ago we lost electricity. Once the power came back up my DSL did not.
After 1 e-mail and 2 calls to the help desk (and still no net access) I made the swap to Comcast cable.

I'll put up with a lot, but if customer sevice can't follow up after 5 days, I'm looking for a new service.

ANYWAY...Did I miss anything? :)

Glad to see you back. I would have had severe internet withdrawal after hurricane Charley if it hadn't been for my computer at work. That danged storm dropped limbs and snapped both my cable tv and phone wires - two different sides of the back yard. Funny thing is at the time I had BOTH Brighthouse Roadrunner and Bellsouth DSL up and running for a couple weeks at that time. Digital freak that I am, I wanted to make sure the DSL was going to be stable for me before I called Brighhouse to cancel their service. Lucky me, falling limbs managed to snap BOTH internet connections in one night. You don't realize how wed-dependent you are till it's gone for a bit. LOL :)

The only thing you missed was the announcement that for 2007 LM will be bringing back the MM with your choice of SC from the factory. No big news.:eek:

I looking at switching too. I'm using Verizon for DSL line and a 3rd party ISP for IP access. Issue is the ISP is metered (pay for Kb up/down). Combined together its getting pretty pricey as of late. Hoping that cable will lower that cost with no loss (hope for a gain) in speed.
