I happened to watch "West Wing" while out of town last week and thought I saw a Maruader. Turns out my wife taped the show and I went back and reviewed it last night. It WAS a Marauder. If anyone happens to have it on tape, it's the scene where the Pres's daughter Zoey is being dropped off at the side door to the White House. You see a black sedan from a distance (just enough to get you looking). Then it cuts to a brief shot of her legs swinging out the passenger side rear door. If you pause it and take a look at the little bit of the wheel (not quite enough to see the center cap) that comes into view .... yup its a MM! We've made it to prime time!
Thanks for the info Russ.
Too bad I'd never watch that :censor: show because of that :censor:ing, :censor:-hole Martin Sheen. Who hasn't made a movie since "Apocolypse Now"...in my mind
(come to think of it...I think it was on that set that he LOST his mind back in '79)

Darn-Taf--you kinda don't like this Sheen guy --do ya!!
I hate his sorry *** as well. He is such a leftist-pinko-peacenik my wife and I have stopped watching. After what he pulled at a protest he is lucky I have never seen him face-to-face. I would knock his teeth down his throat for what he did. It was both blasphemous and disgusting.

Marauderman.....be happy you didnt hear what he has said! All we can hope for is he picks some location or installation where the National Guardsmen have orders to shoot intruders! And I emphatically agree with Todd and GJA....I hear its a good show...except for him... So I missed both prime time showings of the Marauder...swell....

I would never mis this show if I could help it. I think it is one best dramas on TV. Love the actors, love the story's and I love the portrail of the Pres. by Sheen. Your problem is you can't separate TV from real life.

No...I think that is exactly the point. I choose not to watch or support a show that pays the mans salary. The right to choose... a right protected and paid for by men and women that are fighting and dying for those rights we all share.

Personally I find the show boring as heck, but obviously many like it.
I laugh at the real TV ads with Martin Sheen as his President character doing public service announcements. As if he's a real President. Talk about delusional

It would seem that many believe those "rights" are ment only for those of us who support this war! it is not wrong to believe in peace, and say so, just as it is not wrong to totally support the men and woman who must do this unpleasent thing. Thank god for both points of view.

Yes.
Unfortunately not everyone can get themselves instantly heard by the nation on TV NEWS just because we want to speak about something.
That's the problem I think, many actors use their "celebrity" to speak out too often, while thinking they speak for everyone.
Now back to show....

Bill,
With all due respect, the difference in our opinions is I don't feel it is an "unpleasant thing" to insure the long-term safety and security of our great nation for me, you, our children-grandchildren and beyond. And yes...even for people to speak out like Sheen, Alec Baldwin, Michael Moore, etc.
I'm a firm believer that, as a country, we have been blessed with inaliable rights by our Creator that have proven through history to be the most productive form of civilization for all who exist under it. And even on it's worst day....when I feel those rights and privileges are stretched to their limits...it's the best that has EVER existed. To protect and secure that way of life should be all of our duties, in one form or another.
Yes, I cringe when I see war protestors, flag burners and disrespect or abuse of those rights of any kind. But, what they seem to forget is the hypocritical abuse of the free market system that are enjoyed by the above mentioned folks (and others like them) who live in unimaginable wealth while criticizing and bastardizing the system that they themselves prosper so from. Meanwhile a 19 year-old man, from a family who lives in a trailer-park outside Atlanta here was killed last week for their right to do that. And not only that...but for the right of complete strangers (the men, women & children of Iraq) nearly 10,000 miles away from Conyers, GA to hopefully have those same rights soon.
We live in a country that through pure Divine Grace over 235 years ago set out to be a standard bearer...a witness...an example in the purist sense to all civilization. Don't believe me, travel the world like I have been blessed enough to do and look around while you're there. There is not a single society in the world that has ever existed like ours. And we have exported more than just "jazz music and Alcoholics Anonymous"-Sheen through those years.
I appreciate and embrace the value of differing views. And, just like my spiritual beliefs...I don't feel it's the "unbelievers" whom are the problem....it's "believers" like myself who faulter and "tolerate" who are problem. Same goes for American Freedom...those who allow, tolerate or allow such freedoms like Sheen’s comments and actions to go "unchecked" are at fault. The difference is, Bill...if I called a Press Conference...nobody would come. "Don't fight with anyone who buys ink by the barrel". As well, flights are available everyday, on one-way fares to wherever these people feel they can find a better situation...first-class seats. I, Bill, believe in Black and White.
Well in some small way...I hope the above means something in the memory of PFC Diego Fernando Rincon, Conyers, GA who died last week so Sheen can continue to prosper and criticize. I refuse to be a contributor to Sheen’s pocket. That's my right, expressed (probably inappropriately) on a car enthusiast’s forum. And I will continue to exercise my right to notcontribute or participate in any way, shape or form of support for folks like Sheen.
No apologies from here for the above other than I’m sure several spelling and grammatical errors and taking up Logan’s space here which should be about Marauders.
No hard feelings toward you, Bill.

Russ,
BTW, The MM on"The West Wing" sounded nice, too. This site is definitely a get-away from the usual stuff, especially on wednesday chat night. It also keeps me yearning for my own MM.

That confirms it! I saw that West Wing episode, and during the scene, I said to my wife, "hey those look like marauder rims". And then when the car pulled away, I knew I recognized that exhaust note. My wife still thinks I'm crazy when I get all hopped up over spotting one, but they're still a rare breed, so I think its justified.

OK, here goes:
My beef with Mr. Sheen has nothing to do with the war. It was that he carried a Christian cross in his hands. That POS SOB is a blasphemer!!!
I will smack his face if I ever see him in person.
It is sacreligious and distasteful.
Y'all go ahead and flame, I don't give a d@mn.

gja: interestingly enough, the pope has publically called for an end to hostilities in Iraq. Perhaps Mr. Sheen is a Catholic. If so, I would guess he is not, therefore, a blasphemer.

Bead, with all due respect, public display of such a sacred symbol in the manner he used it is deeply disrespectful and insults the extremely reverent nature of that symbol.
He is not the Pope, so any slack I would give the Pope does NOT filter down to him.
I also take into account the persons general credibility and nature. The Pope is a gentle, quiet old man. Ramon Estevez (his real name) is a loudmouthed jack*** who has a long history of vices and his mother had IRA connections. As the lawyers say "goes to credibility", and he has NONE. You must consider the nature and history of the source person, and his a tainted past at best. So that leave him, at best, as a duplicitous hypocrite.
A "do as I say, not as I have done" two-faced snake with a vile nature.
