Any trick to aligning a trunk lid properly? I know how far I need to shift it, I'm just wondering if there's any trick to it? Or perhaps any time-saving technique?
As far as I can tell from the manual, it's 2 bolts per side holding the trunk lid onto the hinge arms. However, I'm beginning to notice the manual is not very detailed when it comes to the small details of adjustments when it comes to body panels... was Ford trying to cut costs by saving ink or something?
So I imagine it's a matter of loosening the fasteners, shifting the lid, re-tightening per specs in the shop manual? I can't tell if the holes for the fasteners are slotted for adjustment, or if it's the whole hinge that needs to get shifted.
