Has anyone else gotten a FRAM CA 5056 for use on their Marauder? Fram claims that this is the correct filter to replace the air filter. Thanks in advance.

Fram claims that this is the correct filter to replace the air filter. That's because it's one they already make and is "close enough", without them having to either make the CORRECT one themselves, or outsource it. Here is a comparo of 2 Wix filters; one is a direct replacement for the Motorcraft FA1745, the other is their version of the FRAM "equivalent":

WIX 46134: L=11.269 W=7.568 H=1.835
WIX 46814: L=11.398 W=7.598 H=1.978

So far so good, right? Looks pretty close...

46134 CFM (Air flow): 320
46814 CFM: 450

NOW which one looks more correct? Care to guess which one is which?

Damm, i guess the fram filter i just installed is no good. Lucky for me it was cheap. Now, this sounds like an excuse to MODIFY!!! Where is the best place to get that cool k+n cai!!!

Or you can go with the JLT... look in the Forums... JLT is a sponsor of this site.

Go with the PHP (It's more unique). There's nothing wrong with the K&N. They both perform the same.

What Barry said^^^^.

I have the K&N, but my buddy has the PHP setup. You can't go wrong either way.

Lidio sells the K&N at a good price...

Which is better? The PHP or the JLT? Do they contain the same things? The PHP is $250 and the JLT is only $140(plus shipping). Just lookin at all my options, thanks for any help!

I am planning on adding the trilogy setup and dont want to add the cai and then have to put it back to stock. Thats why i was thinking of the k+n. I heard it will work with the trilogy. Not sure of the others.

Dave, the Trilogy keeps the stock throttle body location so any of the 3 CAI kits currently available should fit just fine. There are Trilogy cars out there using all of them, but I know first-hand that the PHP unit fits
