Well looks like no Thanksgiving for me - getting sent to Dearborn for work

Thanks to a possible cyber-threat issue it appears I'm being sent to Dearborn to run 1 of 3 shifts from Friday morning through Monday morning. Since the first shift is so early Friday morning it's looking like I'll have to fly out of VA on Thursday night.

I'm not overly thrilled by this, actually, I'm quite bummed out by it. I had planned to have the time off and spend it at home. But I guess duty calls.

It's not 100% concrete yet...but...oh well.

Anyway I'll be in the area, might have some time on the weekend after the shifts to maybe check out a few things. Some good car museums or the such in Dearborn/Detriot?

There is the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn. Don't miss it. Let me know if the steak thing comes together. I may be tired of turkey by then.

Well this could be worse. I was able to update my itenerary to arrive Friday morning. So, I will spend Thanksgiving at home, though an overworked Breadfan will not be getting his 5-day weekend. ;)

So I'll work 2nd shift Friday (probably 2-10pm) and then first shift Saturday/Sunday/Monday (6am-2pm). Hopefully one of those days I'll be able to check out the Henry Ford Museum, and some steak dinner if anyone is interested. :)
