Well, the work order for the Mustang was submitted to the factory and is now officially scheduled to be built. Finally. It even has a VIN assigned and is officially scheduled to be built on December 5th. I am as giddy as an expecting daddy. I think I will take a trip out to the factory and watch her being made.
First mods will include the Legend hood, Hoodpins, Dovetail spoiler, Steeda spring lowing kit, and custom painted stripes and fresh clearcoating. Bear Brakes and Metco Control arms are also on the list. But the crowning jewel, will be the soon to be released Trilogy intercooled Supercharger. Jerrys Manual trans Mustang will be the prototype, and once again, I will be lucky enough to get Trilogy #2 again! Mine will be the prototype for the Automatic trans Mustang. And yes, I did consider a vortech or procharger, but quicky came to my senses! Cant wait for some good old fashioned gut wrenching Trilogy power!

Well, my man on the inside just dropped me an email today, apparently my Mustang was one of the first "2006 1/2" model year cars built, and they undergo a stringent quality control, either way, here is where things stand:

Dave,
It is built, completed and ready to ship. We never ship new models until we are sure that they are of the quality that you expect. When we have about 5 days production, then we examine each of the cars to make sure that they are built correctly. Many are driven to make sure that they all function the way they are supposed to. We run them through the spray booth, drive them over the squeak and rattle track and make sure that they are ready to sell.

Everything is ok. This afternoon, we had our Ok-To-Ship meeting because all the cars passed with flying colors and we did get the go ahead to release the cars to the dealerships. We were missing two signatures as of about 4:00 this afternoon and I suspect that they are all in now.

You will get your car soon and you will be happy!
