Now that I've dived head-long back into the enthusiast scene after an almost year long hiatus due to work, the decisions are getting harder and harder every day...

I mean, I have to go out to the garage each day and ask this question:

Yep. Rough life. :bandit:

PS - Yes, the cadillac went bye bye in favor of the 06 Moosetang GT... :D

A little copy'n'paste and a little editing from a previous post and:

Why oh why do I see in my head someone driving a Mustang 500 feet, getting out and running back to the HD, then driving it 500 feet past the Mustang... etc... etc...

Logan
11-26-2005, 07:35 PM
Naw... I'd probably buy a nice black trailer, toss the mustang on the back and away we go... :D

There is no contest. I would be in the F-150 all the time. Mustangs are a dime-a-dozen. BTW, there are other colors other than blk. Nice rides you got there. Thank you for supporting my company. Now I gotta get rid of this HP and support your company. ;)

Nice choice Logan. Not original, but nice! Like we talked about earlier, so many options for the new Mustangs, where to start! These new Mustangs are bad to the bone and beg to be beat on like a red headed stepchild! I will be going to watch mine be built next week.

Quick question: Why was the CTS-V so easy to part with?

It's nice to see someone being taken care of for working so hard.

Very nice rides, too. Does the GT have an automatic as an option? What do both of your new rides have for gearboxes, auto or manual?

Nice. Yeah, the 60-80 weeks are a bit much,

Those are long hours,. I'll be back on that kind of schedule soon. The 12 hours days get old fast, but they sure give you some great paychecks!!

Nice rides man! :banana2: enjoy the fruit of your labor! :burnout:

What kind of special weapons are on the Garage Queen in the background ? Or is that all Top Secret ? I think the LoganMeister is holding out on us and has a S/C'd, Twin Turboed, NOS blown monster that only his wife drives...:)

CTS-V is a nice ride, but the IRS in it leaves a pretty wretched taste in your mouth. Horrible, and I do mean horrible wheel hop.

Both the truck and the GT are automatics. Sick of sitting in Austin traffic sluggin' the manual...

For the first year at least, demand will drastically outstrip supply on GT500. I have never and will never pay MSRP or over MSRP on a vehicle... So, if someone wants a GT500, all the more power to em...

Me, this is my first Mustang newer than 73 I've ever owned, so I plan on havin' a bit of fun with it...

Amen!

The GT500 was going to be my new car. Until I met the Marauder. The potential, the price, the practicality all added up.

Logan - Is the F150 stock ride height? It looks a little lower than I remember seeing at the Detroit Auto Show.

Logan
11-27-2005, 05:23 PM
Oh LORD NO. A LITTLE lower? hehehhe

It's been dropped 2" in the front and 5" in the rear. The Ground Force suspension installed is absolutely top notch. It handles like a "big" Lightning... I really like it...

Just pulled the trigger on the first major sheetmetal modification this evening... Stay tuned for the details on THAT one, it'll kick ass.

I'd work over the Mustang for all she's worth.

Bore and stroke for 302 cubes, and get a Boss 302 paint job. Rear window louvres, black hood and stripes, real chromed lanyard pins and plates, a total '69 Shelby retro look. I would have bought a yellow one for that reason, if things go well in 2006 I might still do that. Sean Hyland Motorsports has a 302 shortblock and longblock with "Boss 302" written all over them.

Next, put some mighty 14" rotors on the front, polyurethane all the suspension bushings, upgrade the sway bars and put in a high quality racing driveshaft and loop. Then bulletproof the rear-end with 4.11 gears, a stud girdle kit and a Torsen differential. Then shoot on over to Squires for the new dual turbo kit they're making for the GT. By this time it'll need new tires, possibly the Pirrellis since handling is gonna be a priority.

Under 10 second, 180+ mph, roller skate on a rail. Way better than Detective Bullits' Mach I. Eat Challengers for breakfast.

Yup. That's what I'd do if I were the rich and famous, Logan. :banana2:

Yea really sucks to be you.

:P

I'd love to have a 2005+ Muskrat convertible one of these days ......

The last Mustang I ever really had a fondness for was ..... the 1990 "7-up" convertible. They were dark metallic green with a white leather interior. And even then ..... I still think the 79-86 dash was waaaaaaaaaay better looking than the 87-93 dash. I also never really cared for the "GT" trim on the 87-93 cars either ..... I'd rather have an "LX".

Yikes!- It would seem the question isn't which to drive but which to leave in the airport parking lot. You still spending a lot of time in the air? If I HAD to, I guess I'd park the Mustang.

I believe the HDs are dropped about an inch from the factory. Your's has the proper stance IMO. It makes me want one now too. Congrats! I can't wait to see the sheet metal mod. My vote is for those electric door openers that give the shaved handle look - whatever they're called.

Are they quick?

Jerry tossed us the keys to the 5.4 Trilogy F-150 at MMV III, last August.

Damned right they're quick/fast! :burn:

'Ol Barb nearly had a conniption when I stomped on that baby.:woohoo:

The sound that blower makes, while spooling up, is pure, wonderful, music to any gearhead.

Someone else can tell the story about how some unnamed person almost put the Trilogy Mustang through Jerry's front window, and tried to take poor Dan along with him. One wag remarked that it was surprising to see a large man move that fast.

Yep, Sure did on multiple occaisions. It's nice to feel like a complete tard once in a while. Get in car, start it up, put it gear, open the hood, let the clutch out, stall it, swear a whole lot, get out, close the hood, get back in, open the hood AGAIN, get BACK out, close the hood AGAIN, get back in, release the park brake, drive away while all the kiddies are laughin' their heads off...

It's tough to look cool in the middle of that routine!

Now, if you had chased the kiddies "just once around the parking lot" like "their heads were on fire and their arses were catchin' "... well, that might have helped.
