Hello,

Could anyone tell me what the current incentives are on the Mercury Marauder as of today, April 1, 2003? (Local dealer closed or I would call the staff of same to find out.) I tried the Mercury corporate website and could not find information relative to current incentives on ANY Mercury cars.

Thank you!

$3000 cash back + $500 bonus cash ended 3/31.
Who knows what's next??
From $2000 to $2500, then to $3000 & then $3500.

My mind set was that if you could get it @ Dealer cost ($31,500)
you did good, but....
If you use that as a guide line you lose.
Search the thread "Deals on Marauders".

According to my dealer, the 3500 rebate is actually good through tomorrow, 4/2/03. I heard on the radio today that GM is extending all its incentives, which may prompt Ford to follow suit.

Just checked out mercuryvehicles.com, states:
$3500 cash back, take dealer stock by 5/5/03.
It was $3000 + $500 bonus cash by 3/31.
Are they settin up for another $500 bonus cash??
Don't believe that "take dealer stock", I got the incentive on an ordered "Silver Birch", due 4/7.

The "Black" in stock are becoming an incredible buy!
If they're still around in August, I don't even want to imagine.

Ron

I just checked the mercuryvehicles.com web site and couldn't find the current incentives. Where on the site did you see this?

BTW, when did you order your silver birch MM? I ordered one on February 10 and have been given an eta of the week of April 14.

Most of the time the "Take from dealer stock" is just to get you in the showroom. If you want to order a car, but then decide that you won't buy anything because you wouldn't get the incentive if you ordered it, they normely would give you the moneys.

Dok,
It's under "Great offers", go to "Local Offers" then choose your vehicle, put your zip in (mine 08069).

Ordered mine on Feb.27, he told me not hold him to the 4/7 date?
Did you check out aqha.com? (Ford sponsored, members get $500 off new vehicles) I posted the info, thread "Deals on Marauders".
I wish you best. This car was originally too pricy for me, now it's attractive!

Just went to mercuryvehicles.com to see if there was any changes
on the current incentives (still waiting to take delivery on the "Silver Birch").
In addition to the $3500 cash back they also added an additional
$500 for members of "AARP", it states you must show proof of membership & show drivers license.
Alright, what so what is AARP?? I took a long shot & tried AARP.com & got lucky.
It took me 15 minutes on that site find out that "AARP" is American Asssociation of Retired Workers.
$12.50 annual to join, must be 50yrs old. It stated that your membership card would be mailed the next business day.
Mercury wasn't listed under their "discounts/benefits", maybe not updated yet?
I don't have the age requirement or I would be in!

I expect to take delivery on my silver birch MM this weekend. I was looking at the Mercury website and noticed the AARP $500 rebate. I went to my dealer today and, of course, they didn't know anything about it. I showed them the printout of the Mercury website and they said "if you say so".

I just checked on the dues. I paid $27 for a 3 year membership. I just got my membership paid for the next 55 years.

Sometimes it pays to be "old". :bounce:

you guys sre forgetting that if you take the 3500 cash back, you loose the 0% fianance.Over the long haul, the 0% makes better sence than a 4.9 or 5.9% loan over 4-5 years.Just my opinion.Jeff

I had a choice of financing from my Home Equity loan which is currently at 5 1/4 %. This interest is tax deductible so the effective rate would be 3.8%. My other choice was to pay in cash from an account currently paying 2 1/2% interest (after taxes = 1.8%. I never keep a car longer than 3 years so 36 months is the maximum length of time I use to repay a car loan.

I chose to pay in cash from the 1.8% account and take the rebate. Works out the best for me. The 0% option may be the best choice for others, depending on their situation.

Just visited Mercs home page.
They extended the current incentives to 6/4/03.
AARP till 7/4.
Also added a "Military Appreciation" incentive of $750 till 7/4.
I'm not so sure you can combine the AARP w/ the Military Apprec.
